I love this phrase.

You might think they mean jack shit, but the lawyers who get paid $2000 per hour when they have to settle contract disputes give a little :flag:

I remember the 2005 Williams was practically bankrolled by a contract dispute (Button signed for Williams then Honda paid the contract out to keep him there, was apparently around $20 million).

That would be a great loss for McLaren if that happens.

According to the BBC, Brawn and possible Fry might be replaced as part of a management reshuffle at Mercedes with Wolff and Lowe coming in.

It would be great for Lewis, now he isn't the only one joining Mercedes and he can definitely use a man like Lowe. Mercedes actually needs it, Lewis alone isn't enough.

brain drain from McLaren to Mercedes. Just imagine how Sam Michael must feel

He thought he left Williams for the top team on the F1 grid with the best driver in the form of Lewis Hamilton. Now Williams, since his departure, is a competitive team and McLaren is falling to pieces. lol.

it would be a lot easier if Mercedes Benz purchase McLaren Racing from McLaren group and rebrand their cars as MP4/XX

Why would anyone want to hire Whitmarsh except Mclaren?

HRT might have wanted him as McLaren would probably pay good cash to get him of their hands

Perhaps he makes good tea or is good at cleaning toilets?

Was gonna say - looks like they used IndyCar Racing II's model as a basis.

I thought that was why McLaren hired Sam Michael.

If Eddie Jordan is right (currently 2-0 in Mercedes stories), then Wolff is becoming Team Principal with Lowe becoming Technical Director but with total control over the factory. Wolff will be a figurehead for the media and answerable to the board.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Indeed, which then made Whitmarsh's role redudant.

Getting rid of Fry? Okay. Getting rid of Brawn? Bad move.

Why would getting rid of Brawn be a bad move? Afterall, what has he actually managed to achieve in his years at Honda and Mercedes? Since Mercedes took over, all I've heard from Brawn is noise about how well they would be performing, when they expect to win races or a title and that they've solved the issues that dogged them.

I'm not counting the Championship with Brawn.

Ahhh we're getting to this time of the year again, I'm waiting for Bernie to pipe up again saying that the race must be held at night or they won't come back etc etc.

I'd be interested to see how much they pay to host the Australian Tennis open

They could at least use photos which are relatively up to date! I can see a shit storm brewing on this article though.
