OT but the more I'm watching this classic F1 stream in the off season, the more I think Monaco would be a pretty decent track if they didn't have to go around that freaking swimming pool....

So add a Stadium Trucks style ramp then?

Well the pool appeared for some olympic games or other in the 70s didn't it?

Long since gone now, GET RID OF IT

Giovanizzi is standing in for the injured Wehrlein for the first test. That RoC crash did some real damage to his back it seems.

Imagine the scenario if Wehrlein was signed to Mercedes instead of Bottas, they'd have to get a new driver for the second time within one month.

Well, just add India back to the calendar and we should be fine in that regard...

I can see F1 teams being even more restrictive on off-season events for their drivers if this is the case.

Also:

Quote:
Giovinazzi drove an F1 car for the first time earlier this month when he tested Ferrari's 2015 car at Fiorano
.

They need to sign this guy up quick since he got further than Seb Vettel did around the same time.

haha Wehrlein career is going down the drain

first Mercedes gives Ocon a better chance and he's almost threw it all away with that dumb crash

Yeaa unfortunately that'll probably happen.

Can see Kimi saying "fuck it" and play around on a snowmobile though... Didn't he do a race under a pseudonym?

He did a race in a gorilla suit under the name 'James Hunt'.

---------------------

Nice to see Tony G get a chance in some modern machinery too.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

How crazy thin is the nose!? It did strike me today that they were the only team not to have announced anything.

I have added Haas to the list, and will link to any new car threads ofc.

The bottom part of the nose is black, therefore it vanishes in the video. But still, looks nice. What I like most about it ar the bent rear wing end plates. They look aggressive

Another "leaked" pic of the new McLaren (originally posted by a user at grandprixgames.org and also a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iNQdKkRdHQ)

If its genuine then I have to say - not bad!

if that's genuine I'll book a flight to Woking and slap some people silly.
That has to be a joke if they dare to call that iconic. Or did they make a typo.

If that McLaren is real then it's one of the best looking F1 car designs for quite a few years imo.

The nose is the sort of design I think the lower nose regulations should have been worded to aim for. Low without any silly steps, fingers etc...

Best looking but worst aerodinamically, no way this is real. But wouldn't be surprised, after the frustration of the previous hyped lanches.

According to posts on their twitter, its not the real car just a "fake reveal".
