Will Mosley step down after his current term or has he already stepped down?

He's staying until the election, he just isn't going to stand for re-election.

Or that's what he says now. He did this same trick on the last election.

Well it depends on if anyone stands for election, then he stays on by default.

Because FOTA chose to bury him in the press on Wednesday afternoon for absolutely no reason at all. He gave them everything they wanted and they were very bad winners.

I am absolutely positive that Max is much better than whichever FOTA puppet is put forward in October. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

If I understand correctly, all the FOTA teams signed up to 2010 via the Concorde Agreement (i.e. a binding contract with clauses designed to make breaking it very painful), whilst they took Max at his word that he would step down.

If that is true, FOTA are morons. From their point of view, they had the perfect opportunity to get rid of Spanky for good and they didn't nail the door shut.

I totally agree. We all know Mosley for years. So it'd be really stupid to do that. Let's hope the best.

Somehow I honestly cant believe that.
Who here would believe mad max on his word?? And I'm pretty sure we're not a whole lot smarter than the FOTA people.

Well, I wouldn't think it is possible either, but if Mosely has the power to reconsider his decision, then he obviously didn't sign anything binding.

Do I sense an epic fail or am I reading it wrong??

Quote:
"Furthermore, you have suggested to the media that I was a 'dictator', an accusation which is grossly insulting to the 26 members of the World Motor Sport Council who have discussed and voted all the rules and procedures of Formula 1 since the 1980s, not to mention the representatives of the FIA's 122 countries who have democratically endorsed everything I and my World Motor Sport Council colleagues have done during the last 18 years."

Quote:
"Formula 1 is run entirely by our 25-strong team without any help from me or any other outsider. There was no need for me to involve myself further in Formula 1 once we had a settlement. Equally, I had a long-standing plan not to seek re-election in October. It was therefore possible for me to confirm both points to you yesterday."

Sounds like we lost a man.....

Im partialy behind Max on this one.

FOTA successfully managed to get pretty much everything they wanted & come October Max will be gone with a New, Hopefully more Neutral FIA President voted in to replace him. There is no reason for anyone in FOTA to continue taking shots at him or anyone else in the FIA, FOTA should just sit down & work with the FIA (including Max) to prepare for 2010 with the FIA under its new leadership.

By most accounts they won & got what they wanted, there's no need to continue to rub the salt in the wounds.
