Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Isn't that the case with every new GP? Korea was also in doubt because the track wasn't ready, same with Austin this year.

The most ridiculous thing posted in the last 3 pages is the assumption that any of us know what is best for, or what may be wrong with, Lewis. The only one who knows what he needs to succeed is Lewis himself and I do sincerely hope he finds that wherever he winds up.

As for Jersey... I don't particualry care. I'm only an hour and a half from the track and you couldn't have paid me to go that race next year.

+1 Although... he did lose his Aunt before the Spa race so that could be a reason to it..
Anyone else think he might take a sabbatical year out...?

Add Silverstone to that list, plus Belgium...

The point being that most GP's have issues with contracts with Bernie. Less than a year ago Texas didn't have a contract for the race.

Silverstone was different. The old pit buildings are a *complete* hole. Rotten wooden windows, leaky roofs, faulty electrical hookups. If it wasn't Silverstone then it'd be off the calender long long time ago.

New pit building is a lot better, but when you see it close up it's still a bit ropey. And it isn't great for media work.

As opposed to the new Wing building that had a leak in the media centre, followed by one of the ceiling tiles falling down. Ho hum.

Oh, and yeah, the media centre is nice but it's ridiculous that there's no windows in there. Added to the fact that the paddock only accommodates F1, so anyone covering GP2/GP3 has to flick between the Wing and the old paddock...

A leak in the media centre is still a step up from rotten windows with broken glass, and leaks which pool in the corner of the garages. New garage building is actually quite poor. It's a bit shoddily made and the paintwork is a bit botched. But it looks fine at a distance, which means it's good enough for TV. It also makes it wonderfully British in its building work quality, which actually kinda fits. :D

Yes, it is a very nice building overall. Although I've never been to the old press room. The press conference room is gorgeous because the chairs are SO comfortable that I almost had a little doze...

The main problem is for spectators. The podium directly faces a gap between the main two grandstands (derp) and you can't see much of the pit lane from the grandstand opposite. The actual paddock could do with a bit of livening up too, because it feels very concrete-y. I think overall, and it sounds clichéd, the new building just needs a bit more soul. Some colour. Because yes there are pictures, but everything is white. (although I loved everyone cramming into the cafe trying to watch the start :p)

You should apply for a pass with the Racing Line :p :D

With New Jersey in doubt, Austin has just received its Grade 1 license

We don't do enough of our own reports to get F1 passes now days. We've done F1 testing, lots of national stuff, Le Mans, LMS, FIA GT etc.

Oh right. I'd like to do testing next year but it's the expense. If I'm free and have the money, I'll have a go. But whereas in the past they did some at Silverstone, it's now either Barcelona or Jerez...

I hear Interlagos is worse!

You rarely get press releases after 7pm. If it's anything major, it'll be sent out at the most convenient time for the media and to get as much exposure as possible.

You also sometimes get embargoes until a certain time.

I doubt (jinxed it now) we're going to get a major announcement today regarding drivers. And if there is an announcement, it'll be about Lewis, because the rest of the grid depends on him.

We already know Force India and STR's line up will remain the same. But with Force India, even though they have confirmed their drivers for 2013, one or both could easily be plucked away. So, funny world.

Japan is refusing to let Ma Qing in their country. Apparently they don't want to give him a visa.
