Oh my bad.

Who do you mean. Can't really imagine Brawn at Mclaren tbh.

I could.

Lowe is coming in to take his technical role. Toto is already handling the media and PR side of things.

If Ross wants to stay in F1 (he might not want to), then there is no better potential vacancy than McLaren.

Meh I just can imagine Brawn working together with Dennis. But then again I couldn't imagine Schumacher in a other team than Ferrari, so who knows.

IMO Whitemarsh should be demoted to Mclaren Automotive since that is pretty solid now, and Ron himself needs to get back to his team to get things in order.

It seems that the race direction has been getting worse just recently. Yellows that randomly come out, yellows that don't come out, lack of or very poor replays, errors in overlays (they still had Europe in the world map), less onboards, etc. etc.

Doesn't sound good, my hope is on Fernando this year.

Fia should pay Newey good money to not work for any team. He single handedly makes F1 boring.

It's still way too early to say anything, but the Hamilton/Perez move delivered exactly the opposite to what was expected.

But let's wait and see. After all, Nico Rosberg was a race winner in a Mercedes early last year.

Good thing Ferrari got Rory Byrne working on the 2014 car. He was the only guy that was on the same level as him.

So 2 very early practice sessions and some already complain about this season being too boring. Some things just don't change, do they

Yeah, last season was so boring. Only Interlagos had some good bits, but not that many. This season is going to suck from start to finish. [/analysis]

Very early analysis:

Red Bull and Ferrari are looking good. Massa looks very very comfortable. Lotus aren't far off.
Oh dear McLaren
Mercedes look to have pace, but we'll see how reliability goes.
STR look very poor.
Bianchi looks to have gotten off to a very good start.

Also Sutil is having a great comeback and Hülkenberg a very good debut for Sauber. Williams seems to be worse than last year at the same point of the season.

That's what I'm pleased about. He was matching Alonso, which hopefully means he's properly back. I had feared he'd start 2013 like he did 2012 but he seems confident.

STR didn't look poor but Vergne twice got on the grass on entry - which is what was happening to Ferrari this time last year. It's peculiar, as if the car's too wide or something.

I also think Sutil need to calm down a bit. He was quick but hustling that car like there's no tomorrow.

Well FP1 they were pretty terrible. Bianchi was closer to them than they were to the rest of the grid. Whilst FP2 was an improvement, it wasn't by much. A rookie in a barely developed car is closer to STR than the 'new' teams ever have been. That's pretty bad, lol.

NBC's coverage so far is basically identical to SPEED's last year. Which sadly means Hobbs is still drunkenly floundering around and Matchett is pointing out all the most obvious things with his effing screen-pen thing (i.e indicating what "vertical movement" is via some squiggles.) The more things change the more they stay the same.

Oh sorry, I didn't see FP1. I think Melbourne is always a bit of a peculiar track but for me Williams were more disappointing. Especially as the drivers seemed to think that it was where they are... I really hope Marussia's pace is genuine, it'd give Caterham the bollocking they deserve.
