Racing point really have no excuse not to be the 4th team with the amount of money that's behind them now.

From what I've heard they not only copied Merc. Merc helped with all that was permitted within the rules.

I think that's against the rules (didn't Red Bull get done for that?) but I recon if you had photos of the car from every possible angle plus measurements, it wouldn't take much to clone something without blueprints.

Could be close but not exact. If it's exact they could get into trouble.

But Red Bull simply built 4 chassis, painted 2 as Red Bull and the others as Toro Rosso for the year, this one is quite different as is the last year's model plus Mercedes could even open a shell company called "3 point star ltd" in a small office at Northamptonshire with only with one employee on the payroll as the builder and there you go, another dirt business among all the dozen we saw in the past

I flew in Europe yesterday and I'd say that 10 - 15% of passengers were wearing masks, which isn't something I'd experienced before. It's going to be a struggle to contain the virus, but hopefully it won't impact sporting events too much.

The W Abu Dhabi hotel over the Yas Marina circuit is in lockdown, as the riders of the UAE Tour were staying there, and 2 Italian members of staff (staying in a different hotel) tested positive for the virus.

Come on guys, let's keep this about F1 only, and leave Corona out of this topic unless it involves F1 stuff.

Let us return to an old staple of F1, then - Ferrari cheating.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

It’s already affecting other sports. Several sporting events have been canceled over this.

Regardless if the panic over Corona is justified or not, it is likely it will affect the season one way or the other

I wonder if Merc are testing this in 2020 to see how fast their actual chassis would go in a potential rivals hands, should they withdraw and someone else, a potential engine rival even takes their chassis in 2021 and still wins

IE Racing Point have an identical mercedes as the rules allow, but operationally they still suck, can't update it as well, keep making pitstop mistakes and letting the drivers run into each other so they lose out on a lot of points they should've earnt

Might give Mercedes the confidence to think "Well, if we pull out, it's mainly us that makes that car a winner. Even if Porsche/Toyota/someone else we worry about taking the PR off us end up running a car we basically designed, they'll still be operationally naive so won't win the title with it"

RIP Mercedes 2010-2020

Racing Point/Aston Martin can still sell their operation to Mazepin and buy the Mercedes team at Brackley (+staff) to try a bigger shot on the championship

Lance Stroll 2021 World Champion

Cheating and still sucking, that's the Ferrari trademark.
