Basically it is team ownership or nothing for 2016 then. Ghosn calls out RBR for basically taking all the glory during the world title years and then dumping all blame on his company from 2014 onward. A pretty fair assessment if you ask me.

The theory going around is they'll wait for lotus going bankrupt instead of buying all that debt.

And they'll come in for 2017 having had a year to study lotus' Mercedes engine ....

if a manufacturer buys a team asset that used a previous engine, will the previous supplier be able to claim the old engines to avoid reverse engineering or they can keep the engines and do whatever they want?

I think the engines are the property of whoever built them. If Renault were to buy Lotus I don't think Mercedes would let the engines out of their sight until the end of the season at which point they would be repossessed.

maybe you could be an engineer specialized in improving what's already done rather than creating things from scratch :p
