Back to real news - looks like Mexican billionaire and Telmex founder Carlos Slim is a front-runner to buy Honda, possibly with Adrian Campos running the team

Hyundai are also rumoured to be bidding

Yeah, well, it wouldn't be an F1 off-season without the annual "Hyundai are rumoured to be entering into F1" rumour

Well the quality of their cars has improved ten fold over the past couple of years to the point where their i30 has been named small car of the year by various sources and seems to be a great little run about. So with their increasing popularity and quality, they would be a great addition to the championship and would at least be sticking around if they were fully committed due to them not being in financial ruins like most manufacturers.

I read something about KIA (I believe) being interested as well. Don't know if they are connected to Hyundai or anything..

More sources about Slim:

http://www.thef1.com/noticias/noticias- ... prar-honda
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... 059838.ece

He is the second richest man in the world, so that would be awesome...

Slim and TELMEX have had links with Honda since 2001, when Honda supported drián Fernández with the Fernández Racing (and since then, Fernández Racing and Honda-Acura, have been partners).

Also, TELMEX had already scheduled a test for Sergio Pérez (Honda British F3 driver) but we know why it never happened.

Slim's son is very passionate to motorsports, and he is practically (and unfortunately) the only Mexican sponsor to our drivers outside México...

If Slim bought the team, the drivers would probably be Button and Senna, and mabe Salvador Durán as test driver (along Barrichello?).

Im hoping Salvador Duran would get the ride. I have talked to him online before, he is a good guy. Plus, Telmex funds him in pretty much everything he runs.

Not only Salvador but virtually every other Mexican driver in Europe or USA (Sergio Pérez, Rogelio López, ANtonio PËrez Juan Pablo García, Memo Rojas and they still support Luis Díaz and Adrián Fernández)...The only exceptions are Esteban Gutiérrez (his father has enough money to make him race in F1 :p ) and David Garza (his father is also very rich) so basiclly without TELMEX, the Mexican motorsport would be low...

Another Ferrari reshuffle - the change that will probably be talked about the most is that Raikkonen's race engineer Chris Dyer has been promoted, meaning Kimi will have a new engineer in Andrea Stella. Also, now Massimo Rivola will head the race team as the position of head of team operations has disappeared, with Mario Almondo moving into the road car division

http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns21060.html

Another excuse for Kimi if it all goes wrong again, then

I asked Salvador about it a little while ago, and he said that he does not believe the story is true.

I don't think he'd be that bad, but don't believe he'd be any impressive neither.

All he would do would be to search for new ways of leaving the circuit without having to get out of his car.

-------------------------------

No, let's be serious, he was 9th in the WSbR championship this year. Almost everyone who finished ahead of him is staying put, the only known exceptions being Julian Jousse who will go to F2 and GvdG who might be moving up to GP2 proper with iSport. So it follows that it would do him good if he were to stick around for another year.

Mosley: I may not go after all, you suckers

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/72559

Let's face it, how many people really thought he was going to go next year in the end?
