Let's not push it, that sounds even more boring than F1 :p

Hold on there! What was on the baby tv? Did I miss anything important like Spongebob?

I want to see Hamilton's pole lap, that was nearly perfect.

This is just plain stupidity.

Well that was an absolute shit show that was telegraphed as soon as they announced these rules. Any bozo could see that that was going to happen.

I was willing to give the idea a go, in theory it could throw up something interesting.... but geeeeeeez that was absolutely terrible

There is no spongebob on baby tv. We watched "Billy and bam bam", "stick with Mick" and "tipa tupa"

At least I spent quality time with the family. You guys aren't getting the time back you spent watching that farce

Horrible qualifying setup! 4 almost 5 minutes left and they've given up already. No excitement or suspense.

There you go, want to spice up the racing? Each driver pulls a random sheet out of a hat with a random grid drop penalty on it.

I have woken up early to see 22 drivers doing a lap and then not giving a damn after that. Gone last minute excitement, hardly any car on track after the initial 5 minutes of a session, just a bunch of guys accepting their faith without wanting to fight for it.

I accidentally woke up my wife (who's now quite pissed off), kids were screaming when daddy was watching something stupid from TV instead of putting the kids shows on and the qualifying was devastatingly awful. And Mercedes is predictably far ahead.

Oh the joy!

Q1 and Q2 were entertaining in my opinion. Just to see teams go full retard was fun to see. Q3 was weird. A one lap shoot out for the top 10 would be more fun. They wanted unpredictability? They got the exact opposite and then some. Just give only two sets of ultra softs, one set for practise and one to get a flying lap in Qualifying. That's it.

's uncle is Cameron McConville. Apparently his finger got caught behind the wheel, so I hope he is ok.

Correct-O. Yeah he is fine, just sprained his finger which got jarred when the wheel got ripped out of his hands.

Nearly all the crowd left with 3 minutes to go.

The trackside commentators tried to rev up the crowd saying "here's the battle we've been waiting for!!! Hamilton vs Vettel!!! It's going to be crazy! Then it cut to Vettel climbing out of his car.

I'd be pissed. I'm just up at 3 AM on my couch. You guys paid good money to get in. HAAS got screwed and Ferrari rolled over and played dead. Ham was just as smug as ever.

But, TimeLife Soul of the 70s almost makes up for it, lol.
(These are like a staple of late night TV over here)

I'm impressed that F1 conjured up a new format that is worse, by some margin, than 2005's aggregate qualifying.

If there's something good in this system, I've never been so agitated after the qualifying. At least this will be one of those memorable F1 moments. Too bad it's, once again, a negative memory. F1, you're mentally ill and need quick therapy.
