You mean like Prost did in 2001? Deliberately running the car underweight to get a headline time to get sponsors.

Mclaren are doing the same, their long run pace is pretty slow apparantly.

BAR also had a reputation of putting Sato to run underweight to pick headlines. When Brawn GP came up I thought they were living up to this reputation.

People were saying good things from Sauber/Alfa prior to the tests. This is going to be a team to watch in Australia.

There's just no benefit for teams to run outside the regs now that testing is so restricted. Any time running with a car outside 'round 1' spec is time lost.

Was just thinking about how sad it is to see Williams in the shit pile they are in, and then it dawned on me...they have had just 1 win in the last 14 years! and most likely going to be 15. Williams, the new Tyrell.

I wonder if their situation is partly because they stubbornly hold on to the old days?

Like being totally opposed to shared parts for example? I would not surprised if Force India's successes where partly due to sharing important parts with Mercedes.

The year that Williams last won was the same that McLaren last won. What a sad fact.

The situation has to be terrible indeed for the team principal to come and say such a thing.

so sad for Frank who struggled to make the team and now is facing mismanagement and probably might end up seeing the achievement of his life time sold to a sort of Zoran Stefanovic as soon the team is up for sale

I can see them selling the team, literally weeks, after he passes away. If not even sooner.

Kvyat joins him with another 1:17.7. Both times set using the softest tyre.

There running such high rake angles this year. They probably have about as much ground clearance at the back end than my dad's Octavia does.

The Haas has stopped on track again.

Is Mercedes only focusing on long runs? They are doing a LOT of laps, but have yet to put down a fast lap.
