Have Porsche filled their empty seats already?

Not officially, but unofficially it will be Tandy, Bamber and Lotterer.

Now official.

If Alonso wants a change of scenery next season, he's going to have to call Toto and beg.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

So everyone from the grid except Kvyat and Räikkönen have called to Toto Wolff. Talk about loyalty.

I'm sure Tifosi are not too amused if Vettel has tried to jump away like that.

The source is of course Toto Wolff himself, so there might be some mind games agains RBR involved. By this time Ricciardo and Verstappen probably know what's the next years car is gonna be, so either it isn't that much better or something else is going on. I mean, those two seems to have good position for next season and I don't think Ricciardo would be "scared off" by Max to jump next to Lewis. And Max would need to be extremely stupid to turn his back on Red Bull organization right now.

Vettel on the other hand, well, it hasn't been easy season for him there's not as much love as year ago. And Vettel ditched Red Bull exactly in similar situation.

Did he specifically say the F1 Grid? Because I imagine 100% of the GP2 grid probably called in too

So if Kyvat and Kimi were the only ones not to, Palmer actually called Mercedes looking for a seat?

This is what Toto said

Quote:
"I've been called by 80% of the F1 drivers. Who hasn't done so, [Kimi] Raikkonen and [Daniil] Kvyat, didn't just because they don't have my number!"

What's more likely is the managers for 80% of the grid have called Toto, which they wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't.

Also, "80%" would mean more than just Kimi and Daniil haven't called him.

So obviously, mind games.

Kimi was too drunk to phone anyone but emergency

Daniil is on short notice by Red Bull, maybe Marko have access to his phone so anything out of what he been told to do means a kick in the ass Red Forman style

quite sure FIA finds that chicane in the middle of Mistral very useful for F1 to "bring cars together"

That would have been the longest straight in current F1 if it wasnt for the chicane or am I missing a track?

Great to see a track plenty of grass, that punishes even the smallest error.

Maybe the safety car will stay on track and the green flag will be waving during the F1 as well.

I can already see the 30 sec zoom, which kills the sense of speed, at the straight for every lap.
Halos and parking lots are the future of F1, I suppose. Not interested.

Yes, Paul Ricard is an ugly track, but its good to see a classic European race returning to the calendar.

What goes around, comes around :flag:

I'm hoping Bernie makes the Paul Ricard race a choose your own adventure track where each lap they change the layout to something different.

Well with 167 layout variations, it could end up being an amazing race
