Hopefully Massa crashing at Vettel at turn 1 - that would've been my dream!!!

So you're fine with someone endangering other competitors but when it comes to bumps on a race track, oh no, can't have that as that's terribly unsafe!

What awesome logic. Now where's that rolling eyes smiley Ian-s posted...

Pastor eats a 10-place drop for his third reprimand.

That qualifying chart either shows how well Senna races, or how many points Pastor throws away.

Thank you, this is interesting. Is it taking into account actual finishing positions after Q3 or the actual race starting positions which is after penalties are awarded?

Not until a picture of Prost onboard something or other comes out.

Just read this on twitter.. "Webber got a reprimand for missing the weighbridge. So it would be at least Maldonado's third reprimand = 10 grid places. Or even more."
Difference been that when Webber missed the weighbridge he immediately realized & the team immediately pushed his car down to be weighed.

Had the team not pushed him back down immediately he would have received a harsher penalty.

This is the average after qualifying. So, no I didn't count the penalties like gearbox or other grid penalties (like Schumacher in Monaco) . But I count the DSQ from Hamilton (Spain) and Vettel (Abu Dhabi), because that happened during qualifying.

So do Webber and Maldonado get a penalty?

Maldonado does.

What a wasted year this has been for Williams. One driver struggles with quali and despite great consistency the quali performances leave him only able to capture minor points, and the other just goes from one cluster-fuck to another despite showing immense qualifying speed.

Funny thing is, without those penalties they'd probably still be top with the same gap between each other right?

Vettel and Lewis are amazing qualifying drivers. And at the moment, they're both driving brilliantly. It's a joy to watch.

The amazing thing about Lewis and Seb is that, at their young ages they are still the future of F1 and yet they already have 3 world championships between them (probably 4 by tomorrow). Remarkable really.

Hope Mercedes can give Lewis a good car. But I doubt 2013 will be a huge improvement.

We are less likely to see some n00bery from the front runner compared to the past.

It is much more intense (and perhaps less accidents and mistakes?)
