Apparently pre-season it was rumored James Allen's wife laid the law down and that's why Legard is doing some races.

Strange really, normally they have it in for the BBC coverage, now Charlie Sale is gunning for Sky?

According to those in the know in the paddock on twitter, it wasn't even Lazenby who was the drunkard on the plane anyway...

So it's a load of old crap really.

So offended you had to post it twice.

I'm not sure why they haven't just stuck the whole thing on BBC2.

Because MotoGP from Sachsenring is on before.

I know, logic would dictate:

One channel
- Whole F1 programme.

Other channel
- MotoGP, Wimbledon.

But, it's the BBC...

Murray win, Schumacher/Grosjean win and Rangers put down to SFL3 would make it a good week.

I don't have enough knowledge about SkySports F1 coverage, but came accross this in my autosport magazine.

The F1 buzzer game takes up 2 minutes usually towards the end of the Friday evening F1 show so while it is a bit pointless & silly, Not really worth complaining about.

There hasn't been the sort of technical features I was hoping to see but there has been a few good one's & the technical bits done on the Skypad & 3D car with Ted describing technical bits & team updates has been fantastic.

They had a bit of a slow start but I think things are starting to come together & improve. There pre-race has been a lot better & there post race analysis has really improved to the point where I think its been better than the BBC at times. There analysis of race incidents using the Skypad for instance has been a lot better than the BBC analysis of the same incidents.

The only complaints I really have about Sky's coverage is that I don't think Simon Lazenby is as good a presenter as Jake Humphrey over on the BBC & I think Damon Hill brings the coverage down a bit when he's used although he was better last time he was used.
Only other critisism is that for some reason they often choose not to have the FOM OnBoard-Mix feed avaliable for the race (Instead showing a highlights feed in its place), Opting instead to have 3 driver specific OnBoard feeds which are often not even cars involved in any close fights. Its usually just both McLaren's & someone else & at times there are no cars anywhere near them which makes going over to those feeds a bit pointless unless your a real big fan of that specific driver.

Just in terms of the types of features and especially the types of questions asked in the race build up, I find Sky to be more ITV-like coverage rather than a more in depth BBC as we all expected.

Maybe its just a side effect of having adverts every xx minutes, you can't create a long in depth feature if you know you have to pull out of it quick to get to the ads to you make shorter, slightly more vapid ones instead.

It's not as bad as ITV by any means, but I find the BBC cares more about the sporting side of things whereas for Sky its about the personalities and lifestyle stuff which I have less of an interest in.

Of course having Ben Edwards is a trump card that I'm surprised Sky let get out of their hands tbh.
