What’s more worrying was that roll hope gave way the second it hit the ground.

That moment when the car flips sideways right before the fence is stunning.

Called it, and for once I'm not happy to be right. 8O

The way he landed was pretty similar to Diniz in 99. Looks like they aren't strong enough in all directions.

I wonder if now designers and tech guys are like "we have halo so we don't have to make so indestructible roll hoop"

Well it has to disappate the energy like any other crash structure on the car, no doubt it would've been a hell of a lot worse without it but yeah, it shouldn't be doing that

Halo alone doesn't provide the clearance, roll hoop is still the primary roll protection for the driver. Still the Halo does the job thankfully!!

If the whole runoff was gravel he would not have cleared that Tyre barrier. The asphalt did nothing to slow him down, the gravel did unfortunately it was not big enough

Can't believe Halo saved two drivers in just one day.

Protesters are just, no words.
They don't have any real agenda, reason and of course they don't show them in the live feed, so what is the reason to risk it and go on a track.
Also in the football and tennis matches, always some British protestors, what's even the reason.

And the crash was spectacular, funny how Zhou landed (funny because of no injuries)
