For 2016:

Free choice of the two dry tyre compounds (out of four) that each team can use during the race weekend

For 2017:

Faster cars: 5 to 6 seconds drop in laptimes through aerodynamic rules evolution, wider tyres and reduction of car weight
Reintroduction of refuelling (maintaining a maximum race fuel allowance)
Higher revving engines and increased noise
More aggressive looks

A few other measures have also been discussed but require further investigation before they can be implemented:

A global reflection on race weekend format
Measures to make starts only activated by the driver without any outside assistance

They just increased the weight so heavier drivers didn't fuck up their bodies trying to get their weight down.

One step forwards, several steps back. F1 needs a revolution.

Breaking that down, some of that appears promising...

Reintroduction of refuelling (maintaining a maximum race fuel allowance)
- Meaning freedom of choice around starting with a full tank and not needing a 20+ second pitstop

5 to 6 seconds drop in laptimes through aerodynamic rules evolution
- Hoping this means under body aerodynamics and less reliance on sculptured and complex front and rear wings

Fingers crossed this isn't wishful thinking.

The sport was more exciting 5 years ago, no Kers, DRS or hybrid or any other shit.
And what we got was 4 drivers had a chance at the title in the last race
A classic

And get back gravel to all tracks

Erm what? KERS was introduced in 2009. That was 6 years ago.

Oh good lord I hope not...

We don't need an F1 field that looks like something out of a bad and unnecessary Hollywood movie

Apart from the re introduction of refueling, the other proposals sound ok.......BUT....the devil is in the detail and the way these proposals are implemented.

I know it was a stylistic decision to make that movie look like that based on the subject, but cracked ran an article the other day about modern CGI which sums that movie up to a tee. Apart from being just a shitty movie, I think F1 is trying to emulate the discord one feels when watching that piece of shit.

Refueling coming back may very well end my interest in F1 i'm afraid. I hated it the last time as I just didn't like the effect it had on the races & was thrilled when we finally got rid of it after 2009.

May seem like a small thing to walk away over but with everything else I don't like about F1 at the moment, adding that 1 more element on top of the rest is enough to see me walk away.
