All is set for an exciting race with changing weather and lots of SC drama. Too bad FIA will remove yellow kerbs and grind down the red/whites, rain will notice this and avoids the track until podium ceremony and nothing even mildly interesting will happen. Worst race of the season.

Terrible decision from Red Bull to put the cars back in the garage, and doing only one flying lap at Q3.

I scoffed in disbelief when I saw that as well. Cost Red Bull a front row start. For all the good strategy they do they sure make some bone headed moves as well.

But I'm sure evil suspension-failure-inducing kerbs are far more importnat.

How 'bout now? :p

Ah yes, sods law, and all that.

Still, he managed to hit the wall on the outside of the final turn after his car-turned-sled simply skittered across the carpark on the outside of that corner without losing any speed.

Without wheels there is the argument that he might have flipped over, so meh. It's down to whether the driver prefers hitting something soft at speed or going for a brief tumble.

FIA won't be changing the kerbs saying if you don't like them, don't use them.

if you don't like kerbs, go to a rally or an oval track

That is good news. Just a shame they'll all be driving at 90%, saving fuel, and not really pushing the limits.

Anyone know if rain is likely tomorrow? I've looked at several different websites, and seen everything from a 20% chance to a 90% chance. :p It really made the GP2 race exciting.

Seriously though, when's the last time RB actually made a clever strategic move? This year it's all been follow the crowd or absolute disaster.

I'm gathering the probability is near 0 %. Cloudy but dry.

But hey, it may rain at Silverstone. Maybe. Perhaps not. Of course it won't. :(

I find it comical that the tyre walls at chicanes at Monza 1996 have become insanely unsafe, yet they now place unpassable objects which destroys suspensions at speed has become acceptable. Why not make an obstacle course while they're at it? They are creating an ever increasing safety mess and instead of looking to the past, they look at patching holes by getting the materials from drilling more holes. Standard top manegerial practise. It's silly and sad.

Alex Wurz saying that the thing thats causing the failures over the kurbs is that the red part behind the standard red/white is putting a vibration frequency through the car that the carbon fiber doesn't like & its causing it to suffer increased fatigue rates & failures. Its a new spec of FIA kerb that they are planning to install at other circuits & its already been used here & at turn 9 at Barcelona. At Barcelona they were only on them for 3 tenths of a second but here there spending more time on them which is why its an issue here & wasn't at Barcelona.

He believes the immediate solution is for drivers to stay off them but the long term solution is for the teams to take the data from this weekend & build bigger tolerances into the components so that they are easily able to handle these kerbs next year.

Personally I'd rip them up & put proper grass there but that makes too much sense so they won't do it.

So looks like Ferrari and their retarded strategists have failed again by starting on the super softs.
