Was that even a wall strike or just a heavy hit on the kerb breaking the suspension?

Whatever, A Merc down the field on a track with the longest full throttle sections of the year, I'm ok with this

If only it could've been both of them :whistling:

Why was he taking that line? Less bumps and less bottoming out? :o

Perez hit with a 5 place grid penalty, due to changing the gearbox after his FP3 crash

:(

I hope Ricciardo wins after the disappointment of Monaco.

crashes, safety car and randomness, that is what this track is all about

And that's what we all love.

The crashes and randomness are due the fact that some of the corners on this track are rather tricky.

Is there any driver in the grid that had not gone off this weekend? Or is there a driver who hasn't either spun the car around or hit the reverse? Alonso? Nasr? Haryanto? Those three haven't been in the replays a lot if my memory serves me correctly, but maybe they've caused "phantom" yellows.

Obviously not walking the track led to that crash. Literally the only reason it happened.

Or if you're skyf1, a rare beam of sunlight dazzled lewis into crashing into the war.

Piquet Jr in the Rebellion has done a lap at 3:27! It's the one which had some problems, but that's pretty fast for that car! It doesn't seem it can do those times consequently though.

The joking was as much out of disbelief as anything else. He dominated all three sessions, and then drives in quali like he's never seen the track before.

Honestly, I did wonder if he was momentarily dazzled from watching the replay. But no, I think his head was just elsewhere this afternoon. Very odd for Lewis to lose his form mid-weekend.

Would be lovely if Rosberg could retire tomorrow. We'd have an epic race long battle for the lead I'm thinking.
