that combination is so unlikely that it might work it

well, in CART they spent 5 years developing until they finally won something

You sure about that? Just because they are the only works LMP1 team doesn't mean they'll find a new and innovative way to slip up.

Without competition to worry about, they don't have to find limits that are out of their reach.

They still have to beat the non-hybrid cars.

Toyota have such luck that even if they supplied the whole field with cars, they'd still find a way to avoid winning.

I think most do, yes. It's sad he passed away and I'm grateful for all the times that Albert Park hosted the season opener. Albert Park is a season opener like no other, in my opinion.

Grid girls will no longer be used. About time.

There's an awful lot of people crying about this in the usual places, with the usual lame justifications :slaphead:

Someone in the middle of it all suggested letting the marshals replace them as a way of thanking them for the (usually free) work they provide. I think this is an excellent idea.

Australia always delivers good street circuits, Melbourne replaced Adelaide perfectly

I suspect they use the same group of models for both things, so probably.

yeah poor girls they're finally free. Forced to do that against their will, it's not that they got paid for that and they wanted to be there, who would? Apparently pussy is so gross nowdays think at all those feminist following f1 who were annoyed by their presence, what are they 0.0001% of people watching f1? Better not make them angry.
Since we're there, I would take away the champagne too and replace it with some diet protein fruit shake.
Also the engines are a no no, we should use some eco friendly solar powered thing.
And the racing, let's face it, is a pure display of testosterone between alpha males, i suggest we turn the whole thing into a two hours parade.
And those drivers, they belong to the top 1%, this won't appeal to our customers, i suggest we take their wages and use them to fund an ong somewhere. That includes the monaco g.p., we'll axe it and put a new gp in one of those town taken back from Isis.

Is there any place in this debate for a reasonable guy who loves the sight of beautiful women, but is not a sexist macho asshole? Who believes that the solution to each societal question isn't entrenching in one extreme (complete ban) or the other (complete complacency)?

They tried grid boys on the Monaco grid in 2015. Did you have such a hilarious reaction about that too?

Classic political bullshit. F1 is not only about business but also politics. One has to be surprised there's some room left for this thing called racing.

It's a tough one. A lot of the girls enjoyed being there and will be less than pleased at losing well paid work.

If we're going down this road, can we stop objectifying women in music videos, which is done far worse.
