But since you want hard facts, here's what Talladega kindly already shared with us.

Talladega wrote:
World titles won driving a Ferrari car:
Kimi Räikkönen: 1
Fernando Alonso: 0
Sebastian Vettel: 0*
Mark Webber: lol

And you can easily add some more:

Felipe Massa: 0
Daniel Ricciardo (all teams included): 0

Sound logic there. Here's some others that were missed off of both the original list and your addition:

World titles won driving a Ferrari car:
Jacky Ickx: 0
Mario Andretti: 0
Gilles Villeneuve: 0
Nigel Mansell: 0

Well, I guess Kimi is objectively better than these also-rans. They must've had big wallets to get their seats, amirite?

The reason people are jumping on these posts isn't really the spelling and grammar errors (Assuming it's your second language; I can barely speak one so can't really criticize). It's that your Kimi Fanboy levels are approaching James Allen-on-Lewis levels.

See, it's like no brainer to take the easy way out from that debate, there's just so many great achievements even from this season alone that Räikkönen has set

Name one. He got a pole, which is good, but that only makes him the second most pole-winning Finn of 2017.

He has the pace what is needed to win.

Kimi's last win was in Australia in 2013. Since then, Vettel has picked up seven wins in a succession of crap cars and one good one. It can't *all* be bad luck and Vettel being favoured, can it? I mean, even Massa and Barrichello managed to beat Schumacher more often in a team which very openly revolved around their German driver.

Kimi is on the wane. He isn't the same driver that he was in his first F1 stint, and there have been no signs of a renaissance. I don't understand why it's such a big deal admitting that.

Did you check the facts? Barrichello beat Schumacher between 2000 and mid-2002 only 3 times, while within the same period Kimi has beaten Vettel 7 times. And you could argue that slow Ferrari in 2005 didn't suit for Schumi.

Ok, that statistic isn't very impressive. I'm not delusional and I think Kimi has underperformed for years now. It would be interesting how he would perform with number-1 status against, let's say, Hulkenberg or Perez. Against Vettel the match is pretty uneven.

Sorry, I wasn't too clear with that - when I say 'beat' I actually meant wins, rather than simply finishing ahead. Barrichello won twice in the 2.5 seasons you compared, and Massa won twice when MSC was his team mate for a single year.

I agree about it being an uneven match, though - I think first-career Kimi would be more of a match for Vettel, but the statistics nowadays seem to put him squarely in the Button/Barrichello/Webber category.

The thing is with Kimi, he has reached the David Coulthard, Mark Webber stage of his career. Doing a serviceable job, able to put in the great race every now and then...but ultimately not really fulfilling the seat he is occupying.

No one is saying he has fallen to Joylon Palmer levels of....Palmerness. But @

, the difference between Max and Kimi is that Max IS fulfilling the requirements/ potential of his seat. Kimi isn't. Hence the criticisms, because we all know what he was capable of, and he has failed for the last 4 years to achieve that.

What Kimi is doing is something a leclerc could do as well for less money and more future proof

summed it up well.
- Why are you making this an Australia vs. Finland debate? Stinks of "WE'RE BETTER THAN YOU, AND WE KNOW IT" - White Goodman. Although I did giggle at this:

Quote:
Number of Australian Formula One world champions after 1980: 0
Number of Finnish Formula One world champions after 1980: 3, total of 4 titles.

Didn't F1 existing before 1980? Why start at 1980? Why cherry pick that specific period? I can do the same thing watch this.

Number of Australian champions between 1959-1966: 1, total of 3 titles
Number of Finnish champions between 1959-1966: 0

Number of Australian champions between 1979-1981: 1, total of 1 title
Number of Finnish champions between 1979-1981: 0

Number of Australian champions between 1950-1997: 2, total of 4 titles
Number of Finnish champions between 1950-1997: 0

Number of Australian champions since 2008: 0
Number of Chinese champions since 2008: 0
Number of Finnish champions since 2008: 0

Just cool your jets on the fanboyism, I'll end it there.

Now, now, let's be honest here. I'm just goofing around a bit. Like I said yesterday, don't take me too seriously. :p

I thought it was obvious clue when I picked After 1980, that's when Alan Jones won, good thing if you found it amusing, Scotty, that was the point.

Räikkönen deserved his contract renewal. Pole in Monaco was no fluke, that's what the Iceman can do when everything clicks. Unfortunately, there's been many cases that somethings gone wrong with the car or the strategy and robbed some great results. Previous time it happened was the qualifying for Spa. Team robbed Kimi's win at Monaco. It's sad that since 2007 championship the media, who hates driver who gives them nothing, has down talked Kimi constantly. The latest Autosports article is a prime example of that. All the good results are forgotten, all the bad luck/timing/reliability too, when the statistics are taken in the play.

Kimi's renewal means there's only seven drivers who've had as long career in one team (8 seasons or over). Michael Schumacher (Ferrari), Jack Brabham (Brabham), Jim Clark (Lotus), David Coulthard & Mika Häkkinen (McLaren) and Jacques Laffite (Ligier).

Ferrari knows exactly what they get with him.

Rumour is that McLaren severs ties with Honda tomorrow.

Renault seem to have said no to supplying them...

Maybe an american engine manufacturer or something. It will certainly be interesting.

Mclaren-Cosworth?

Mclaren-Porsche?

No doubt about it, this is a desperation move for Mclaren.
If Honda gets it right with ?Torro Rosso? next year, they'll have their own Alonso levels of moving guilt when they're still struggling to make Q3

Sadly I think this sees Mclaren doomed to being a 8th-10th place team with occasional good performances for the foreseeable future

Not to mention changing the huge amounts of cash Honda are giving them for having to pay for a customer engine supply.
This is a huge financial gamble

Maybe their tactic now is to put in some solid 6th-10th place performances and occasional podiums until the next rules set when they'll try to tempt another manufacturer into the sport?

Mclaren-Toyota? :p

McLaren-Peugeot would be an explosive combination.
