F1 needs to have more races in the Americas. All of them. The fans are awesome from Montreal all the way down to Sao Paolo. Add more races between those two cities!

f1 really needs to return to argentina

Bad idea, if they put up a bad show I heard the locals tend to go all medieval on this UK-centered circus :p

Button now has a 70 place penalty.

He'll now be starting in Austin.

Weather reports seem to forecast thunderstorm and rain for raceday. That would be very entertaining from spectator point of view. :excited:

Nah, he'll be starting from Hungary.

72% chance of thunderstorm. But given the drivable conditions in Q1 and Q2 in Austin week ago, I see no reason why we couldn't see wet racing today (instead of typical waiting).

Hulkenberg's mechanic is either violently bipolar or has a drinking problem by the sounds of this.

His engineer thought that Hulk had held someone up - if Hulk was on a fast lap himself, there'd be no penalty. So he was trying to stop Hulk from giving the game away.

Thunderstorms become a distinct possibility from 11am local time.

Pray the circuit gets just a bit of lighter rain, no red flag rain.

Although like JJ said, after FP3 Austin it seems it's no problem to drive around in horrible conditions.

Shouldn't it be "GRANDE", as it's Spanish language supposedly? Gran is Italian.

Gran is also Spanish, but they mean different things. Grande means big, whereas gran means good, or even excellent/magnificent. They're different qualitative adjectives for slightly different things - and grande goes after the noun, gran before. This is useful when it comes to the plural because the plural for both is 'grandes' so the positioning of the adjective tells you its meaning.

Tengo un coche grande = I have a big car. Tengo un gran coche = I have a great car.
Tengo unos coches grandes = I own multiple Renault Espace, for whatever reason. Tengo unos grandes coches = I have some great cars; come see my magnificent collection. Would you like some champagne (that should probably be Cava if the person is Spanish)?
Further language vagaries include describing someone as "un grande" which doesn't mean they are fat, it means they're awesome/admirable.

Back to Formula One, in Spanish it is always 'Gran Premio de [name of country]' but when they talk about how many races a driver has won, it becomes '[Name of driver] ha ganado (has won) x Grandes Premios'.

"¿Cómo están, bitches? Spanish language news is here ..." Although we do have a genuine Spaniard on the board, so he can correct me if I've got anything wrong ... I'm meant to be an English teacher.

Spanish killed what was left of my German, but there wasn't much left anyway due to neglect. Speaking Spanish also means I can read Portuguese, Italian and even French without too many problems, so it's pretty much a win.

He's going to take Hamilton out this time as he's still pissed how it went down in Austin and how the team didn't be harsh on Lewis. That or hats will fly.

Lucas, do you speak italian?

I love spanish, I regularly speak it with some latin friends and it's a nice language to speak . Of course sometimes my spanish resembles a little bit of "Portuñol" - mix of portuguese with spanish but I've improved a lot. Too bad I don't speak a WORD in italian....perhaps only "Pizza" and "Arrivederci": that's a shame for me who had an italian grandfather.
