Basically, the new tracks are what you would expect to come out of a factory. The parts may connect differently, like Lego, but they all feel the same, like he said. Whereas the old tracks felt like clay sculptures shaped purely by hand.

That's because the FIA has strict guidelines on how F1 tracks are designed.

Rule #1: make them boring
Rule #2: only Tilke can do them
Rule #3: wait 'til the check clears

Shit excuse.

Different designers, different view on the rules.
F1 cars are a perfect example of that. Same rule book but different interpretations.

Never really been a fan of the yellow/black Renault. The 2002-2006 livery was much prettier IMO.

The return of that livery would be orgasmic, like the McLaren-Marlboro. It's an all time classic. To be fair, the tabacco era produced the most amazing liveries

Yep. And it also brought an absolute ton of money into the sport. I hate cigarettes, but I absolutely miss tobacco advertising in auto racing.

I think banning smoking and cigarette advertisement is wrong way to go. People should be allowed to cremate themselves to premature death at their own expense as the world is getting over-populated. And tobacco companies should be allowed to compete which one gets the highest score.

Just one question for those who already went, regarding the testing in Barcelona. Do you get you tickets at the track/entrance or do you have to order them online in advance?

As a non smoker I actually have no problem with smoking or smoking related sponsorship of sports what so ever, as long as people don't blow smoke in my face. I actually think there should be MORE done to accommodate smokers with more designated smoking areas and such.

Then we wouldn't have this Marlboro nonsense of subliminal advertising with Ferrari. We'd actually have good looking liveries again wit more money to spread around in F1.....well it would probably still end up with the big three but the others might have a chance.

I believe you can order them online but I don't think they've opened it yet. I'm sure you can also buy them on the gate - testing is never at capacity, though obviously it's much busier on any day when Alonso is driving.

Haas have said that they will unveil their car on the first test day, or the day before, but I haven't found anything concrete.

In fact, I just checked every other team's site and Twitter, and none of them have a launch date slated. That's... odd.

I remember that Toyota were always the first to unveil their car, great way to start the F1 year.

Perhaps they've all secretily decided to stop F1.

At last, peace.
