I turned the track image into a thumbnail instead. The image causes scrolling for 1280x* and below.

offcourse rain would be awesome, but I kinda doubt we'll see any.
Weather.com is predicting 60% chance of rain for all 3 days.

I don't want to get wet damnit. I thought of getting a nice colour instead of this corpse-like one :(

You opened the gp thread, and you know what does happen when you do it :D

crap, you're right. I never thought of it when making it
But I wonder. Would they even let F1 race on such a fast track with water on it?

I never saw a race on Monza in when the track was wet and I don't expect to see it.

The 2004 race was wet before the start IIRC. I think some drivers even started on inters.

It was damp at the start of the '04 or '05 race but the racing line was dry. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not believe there has ever been a wet GP at Monza... Ever.

This weekend should really be one helluva contest. I love Monza. Clearly Ferrari will be quick on home soil but the McLaren's will be looking for some payback. BMW will no doubt be pretty strong too and I suspect they'll contest for the win. Should be a great race!

If Wikipedia is correct, the only time the race has been wet would be the first laps of the 2004 race. If other races has been wet there was no mention of it.

The 2004 race started like the last race at Spa. Inters were faster for two or three laps and allowed Rubens to gain some advantage. However, because he was on them for not very long, plus the advantage wasn't overwhelming, slicks were technically faster in the long run. Of course, some divot spun at the second chicane on their slicks and that's no good either.

1981 was hit by a shower. I didn't amount to much however.

Please a Ferrari win, we don't want to see the fastest driver around the track getting the victory if he isn't dressed in red. Especially if he earned it on the track and deserved it.

Any changes to Rettifilo after this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNkySVNNpog ?

Those bumps should have been flattened. Hopefully no paving at least even though fortunately not likely to happen in F1.

The bumps didn't do anything, he got airborne by aerodynamics. Then the grass helped flipping the car but once you're 10 feet in the air there's nothing much to do to help lol

I meant the bumps on the grass, not on the track.

Remember Glock's "jump" in Australia? I bet that bump has been wiped out.

I did not think back then it needs improvement (except maybe flattening the grass area, not a big job anyway), but often someone presses the panic button and does something extreme precautionary changes like paving the whole area around the chicane (following current track design trend) and that would suck.

It's probably a matter of time when for example Curva Grande run-off gets paved á la Pouhon :yuk:
