This track is really bad from a racing/overtaking point of view. Whoever gets to the first corner first will dominate.

Wish ITV kept the GP2 coverage, they did quite a good job with it (in 2008)

Ugh, they were fucking terrible. The announcers were absolutely fucking awful. They had minimal knowledge about the actual series and were oblivious to almost everything happening on the screen. Not to mention they were highly annoying.

Give me Martin Haven and Gareth Rees on Eurosport over just about anyone but the SPEED guys.

It will rain a lot tomorrow, so it will be dry this weekend.

The last two F1 races I missed because of other races I went to that day:

Hungary 2006
Fuji 2007

and just guess where I'll be on sunday...

You guys might see a good race

Last time I missed a race it was Austria 2000 and Hungary 2009. Both had some drama. I'm going to miss this round also - or I could pass the Mother Day's traditional family dinner. It has never happened, but would I skip it for a grand prix? No, especially not for spanish gp.

Therefore the race is going to be awesome, if I would watch it, it would boring as hell. So have a great one! It's on me and Mattzel89.

Both Chandhok and Jake Humphrey have twatted that it'll be wet this weekend (in Barca)

Even if it was wet, Spain 96 wasn't too cracking race. Dominant performance by one driver yes, but since Michael got to the lead around lap 12 there was not much happening apart from few retirements. Oh, I remember I was very happy that Pedro Diniz got a point!

I'd still prefer a boring wet race to a boring dry race

96 was so soaking wet it would have been red flagged if the race happened under recent race directing convention, oh and that race featured a standing start.

I also remember Murray in either 98 or 99 going on about the storm that was supposed to hit the track throughout the entire build up and the first half of the race, and it remained pretty dry.

Jfkykykslkslsll has started erupting again, Scottish airspace is getting shut down pretty soon. Barca isn't very far away so we shouldn't have any problems with non-attendees this weekend however.

Don't see why. They'll truck to the European events surely?

Good choice. Looks like Yamamoto got a useless role.

They've always done that. They don't fly everything to the European events, it's cheaper by road.

Thanks for reminding me, I had forgotten about GP2 on Rai Sport. Race 1 is listed in their schedule but I can't see race 2. Let's hope that's just a mistake in the schedule.

No, 6:30pm-7:30pm.

I see the track map doesn't have the new corner names on it.

Spain 96 was the best race ever on this track.
