That would be good entertainment.

But Vettel can't overtake.

This for me sums up modern F1. It is the most bland, boring, featureless, soulless, colourless, pointless circuit on the calendar

They painted the walls blue last year.

Agreed

All this track has is straights and second gear corners and the straights aren't even straight.

The race will be a ten minute session on Saturday afternoon, as the winner will come from the front row.

The race will be 500th when name Lotus is on the grid. Of course two teams (1958-1994) and current ones are very different to each other.

That 94 Lotus was pothetic. The Lotus brand wasn't the same after Colin Champman's death and when Senna left.

This track is too long. Street tracks need to be short, so we have lots of lapped cars in the way and maybe we would see more overtaking (like in Montreal, Alonso got held up a couple of times resulting in a pass)

I think one of the problems is the fact that this track has no proper straight to favour the racing as such. Crashes, that could spice thing up, are also quite rare since the run-off areas are extremely large and at some spots the walls have been taken way in 2009 because they were "too close" in 2008. It is not really that much of a challenge.
It is really a shame to be honest because the location and surrounding is fantastic.

Spot on.

All the 'straights' have slight curves in them which means that there is only one real racing line and off line is so dusty. The layout in itself isn't too bad, S3 looks quite fun but there's so little overtaking. Turn the 'straights' into proper straights without kinks, bring the walls closer and you have a good track. I feel that the best overtaking opportunity is hampered by the corner at the end of the swing bridge which is really narrow and quite tricky. I suggested on F1Zone that the following might be better:

Nice one!

Add my vote to those hoping for rain... preferably rain in qualifying *and* the race... with the race preferably dry/wet/dry/wet. If someone can organize that, I'd appreciate it! :)

Bad luck.

Still, no-one forces you to watch.

I hope bridgestone brings a super-super-super-supersoft compound to the race, that would even spice Valencia up 8)
