Reminds me Bob Wollek story.

hope he will recover soon.

The fact is that his leg fracture can have different levels of serious.
Look at Eduardo, Arsenal player, just coming back 9 months after.

Didier Pironi never came back at his better level, but sure, in that case, it was a lot worse.

But you never be sure of what could be the consequences of a broken bone.
It depends of all the situation.

Just glad it doesn't sound as serious as it could have been.

Get well soon Mark!

Oh, that's shit luck for Mark. But if you have to think positively it's the right time to be injured rather than in the mid-season. I read that it's been estimated he can't drive for about 6 weeks, so I believe Webber should be fully recovered by Australian GP and probably a lot earlier.

He's already better now. :)

Webber was airlifted to hospital where a broken right leg is his only serious injury. He has since undergone an operation where surgeons inserted a pin to the broken bone and will now begin recovery.

Webber is expected to stay in hospital for another two to three day before being discharged. Providing there are no complications he should be fit again in time for the start of the season in March, but will likely miss out on the majority of winter testing.

Best of luck Mark.

He must be the most unlucky guy in F1. Hopefully a speedy recovery for him.

And Chris Amon loses his title as Formula 1's unluckiest driver.

Hope he will recover soon.

It happened to his former team mate too, Nick Heidfeld in 2005!

Poor guy. I hope he can recover. He got off lucky, though, he could have been killed.

Yeah first thing i heard was broken arms and legs, now is a broken leg and a grazed arm. Ironic how it was a event that he organised.

Get well soon Mark!

I don't want to sound eccessively ironic, but it's incredibly ironic that a driver who complains a lot about the lack of safety in F1 gets injured in a bike race.

Anyway, I hope he will recover quickly and well

That's not an attack, that's a very valid point. It is a charitable event, but there's no point in putting not only yours but other people's lives at risk for it.

RBR say he'll be fit for the Australian GP, but will miss most of winter testing

Good news that his injuries weren't as severe as first thought. With the radical changes of the 2009 cars he could really have done with the testing time.
