You think the chicanes are bad, second Lesmo is even worse. That corner is one of the worst on the calendar. There is no satisfaction gained whatsoever from that corner. |

The second Lesmo is fine. It is a worthy challenge in cars that don't have a retarded power-to-grip ratio. |

Yeah, Lesmo 2.. I'm an expert of putting the rear left in the gravel, at the F1 video games, with bad consequences. Fuck that corner lmao |

If they were to take out any chicane, I vote the final one before the run down to the parabolica It's rare you get any overtaking there even with the 2nd DRS zone and I'm sure Vettel and Stroll would be glad to see the back of it. A run from Lesmo 2 all the way to the final corner would be old school cool |

That last chicane is the most fun chicane on the calendar. And it ain't that slow. I could call it the temple of speed if they removed the first two chicanes and left the last one there. |

I'd create an IMS Turn 1 clone, from the straight after Lesmo 2, into the one before Parabolica. |

removing the chicanes could be fun if the teams run zero downforce and flat out the front wings |

Is this just a long-winded conversation to establish the same universal truth we all know deep down: that the problem isn't the tracks, it's the F1 cars? They make SPA look boring and challengeless, for fuck's sake. |

No, Spa's problem is the track. There is far too much tarmac. |

also Monza has it's problems. Parabolica should never had been had it's runoff asphalted but I don't mind hammering away winglets and front wings from the cars |

Not to spice things up for F1 or cars in general though, it's an demand by one of the motorbike organizations. Let's hope that actually materializes |

And as Peroni proved, the tarmac is far more dangerous because they installed ramps to stop the drivers going wide. |

dunno why don't they place a 30cm wide strip of grass alongside, just to cut some of the grip |

Post subject: | Re: Formula 1 Gran Premio Heineken d’Italia 2020 |
30cm wouldn't be anywhere near enough. It would need to be about 4m or roughly 2 car widths to really punish people, and that's only if tracks must have tarmac run-off. Ideally, there'd be grass & gravel everywhere because it was never a problem. |

Wasn't the Parabolica tarmac added so they could run bikes |

Seems like they're already practicing for Q3 traffic jam. |
