Kudos to them though, I really did not notice that fake billboard during live coverage of the race, even during the many replays of that incident.

It must be like that fake plastic baby in the movie American Sniper. A lot of people didn't notice, but once you're told, you only see that.

Bottas has gone 90s retro with his helmet, and man do I feel old for saying that:

Yeah it's gonna be a classic, "Throw it on to get pole, then pit after 6 laps if no SC" early pitstop tyre it seems

Red Bull have about 2 thousand sets of it though, so they'll prob be on pole but have to stop more

That's Monaco, it's all about Saturday

Exactly...

...just like in 2017 when Kimi lead from pole and won...

...and just like in 2016 when Ricciardo converted his first pole into a win...

...and not forgetting 2015 when Lewis dominated from pole to take the top step of the podium...

:p

This year (for top teams) it has been more and more about using middle tyre in Q2. It would be good if hypersoft is that much faster so middle tyre tactic doesn't work.

Are you nuts? :p
Early stop at Monaco, or generally more stops, is suicidal. You'll get out behind an Ericsson hugging his position for 50+ laps. Best case scenario, he stops and you might get points again. Worst case scenario, you get frustrated, try something stupid and crash.

Oh wait I actually like this, let them do it

I don't remember actually, but it was a quote on that Pirelli guy who always appears on TV justifying their compounds.

Well to be fair to DC, he was right. Bernoldi did have a bad hair cut and poor dress sense so should have been DSQ.

Problem with the gearbox for Verstappen, he might not get out for qualifying at all
