The performance of McLaren and Williams says an awful lot about how much of a chassis circuit this is.

Massa surely tweaked his suspension with that contact. Then he had the wiggle at the end of the lap which surely cost time and is still .7 ahead of Stroll...

Suddenly a lot less weak! I think Mercedes have been caught napping.

Question - why is the speed trap at the end of the pit straight, rather than the longest flat out section?

Makes me wonder if anyone actually watched practice, or read anything about it?

Vettel was on a much faster lap in P2 than anyone but got baulked by Grosjen (lol) and aborted it

It's a high downforce track, the fact you can put a ring around it and predict its going to be a Ferrari victory here is one of the reasons why I'm finding 2017 so dull comparitive to previous seasons, it's so damn predictable. Engine circuit=Easy Mercedes
DF circuit=easy Ferrari

One of the reasons I think Ferrari is the better car and the title is a lock for vettel is that when Mercedes win, Vettel is right there in 2nd/3rd
When it's a high DF Ferrari track, the red bulls are in play and Vettel can win with potentially 3 cars between himself and hamilton to make a huge points buffer.

That, coupled with Ferrari racing all for 1 driver while Mercedes don't do that (Yet, though they probably should), means it's Vettel's title to lose.

Yeah, but then Lewis' engine will blow, Danny-Ric will crash on the oil, on the restart Kimi and bottas will crash each other off because that's the main thing those two are in the sport to do and we'll be left with Palmer winning the race or some other shit that means we'll be stuck with him forever.

Though I'd lol if Mclaren won. "Oh, we won a race, lets make friends now Honda, all is forgiven" :p
