I thought it worth a 5, despite the complete lack of passing there was a legit battle for the lead right up to the flag. Tyres this year seem better than expected, shame about the aero.

I voted 2 - 1 point for Kimi's radio and 1 point for Alonso's rage quit

Only not a full minus 10 because i guess the start crash was something to watch

The worst race since Hungary 2004

Nah, that second Austin race was worse than this, here we had a fight for the win.

7/10

Nail biting fight for the win, not just a Mercedes internal battle grey ugly farce. Best russian GP for sure.

4 for the excitement at the end and for the first time winner.

Too bad some guys voted 10 because a countryman won.

The only explanation for NVirkkula's rating is that he's already celebrating Walpurgis Night

Or he's been sniffing gasoline. Either way. :innocent:

You got that right, what's a better way to celebrate communism than watching Russian GP? That's 10/10.

A very generous 5 for the chase of Vettel, but overtaking is impossible with the crap new cars. Not even 5 seconds quicker as promised so what was the point? To get the sharkfins back? ugly cars, no overtaking, tyres that don't degrade. Is this pre 2009 F1? There needs to be some action taken immediately by the new owners

Really? I saw some quite good ones on other decent tracks.

This was the worst race I can remember, I gave it a 0. Nothing happened, no battle, no train, no drama, no nice strategy being played out, no crashes(after first lap). Absolutely nothing.

But that's what you get for racing on such disgraceful track. I didn't watch the previous GPs but remember similar rating and comments regarding the 2014 race.

Don't blame the tyres either, they degraded quite a lot on Bahrain. The thing is that the corners are all slow on Sochi and the tarmac is very smooth, so the tyres are not stressed. It was like this on previous years too, so I read.

Only on Canada or Baku, whichever happens first, that we'll see battles and overtaking again. It was naive to expect it for Russia as it is for Barcelona and Monaco. At least those two tracks are great to watch the cars driving by for 1 and a half hour(plus FPs and QLF).

2014 sucked but there was still passing in the midfield (remember the Toro Rosso going all the way around the outside of turn 3 into 4?)

2015 and 2016 were damn good races

It's not the best track, but it didn't suddenly become suckier over the off season.

Not for me, now the cars racing faster trough the track are exciting by themselves, I preferred this race way more over the past ones. Last year I couldn't stand watching up to the end, because I was hating it so much.

And, like past years, the biggest problem ain't the car, it's the tires that are too damn hard.

3/10

It got tense towards the end but it was too little too late really.

Without the two guys who rated it 10, this would have been the worst rated GP in TBK history (2.16), instead of Baku (2.26).

Very fitting because it was the most boring F1 race I ever watched. Several instances before we had races with no battles but at least was nice to see the cars go around on a good circuit. Barcelona will be the same way but I'll likely rate it as 2 or 3, instead of 0, because it's nice to see the cars on some corners there

you know, in science, if a result clearly is a fluke they don't always include it in the final results. :whistling:
