I am by no means a Heidfeld fanboy, I just dislike people who are fucking retarded.

Man, someone is bitter Kubica got injuried. It is not Heidfeld's fault, so either grow a brain or shut the fuck up Vassago.

Heidfeld gets the bennefit of the doubt for now
but some more f*ckup weekends like this and he should be kicked out of that car

Just where Heidfeld ends up this season is not known, but no one can seriously believe that he is 2-3 seconds off Petrov's pace. Every driver on the grid has some weekends where everything goes wrong. This was Heidfeld's one.

Can we keep it civil in here please guys?

I noticed the damage during the race, but had no idea it was as significant as that.

True but after topping the timesheets in the final test there was a lot of talk from them. Rosberg was anonymous and going backwards before his retirement whilst Schumacher got beat by an STR and Sauber yesterday.

Maybe it's the track and the aero dependant Malaysia will see them improve.

Nico also got "beaten" by Sauber. Not in grid position but KOba's Q2 was faster than Nico's Q3. Kamui just went out of fresh softs in Q3. Sauber wasted an extra tire because they didn't knew how good they are, I guess.

Although Button's DRS assisted pass on Massa demonstrated what I was afraid may happen. A dull, unexciting & reletively easy straght line pass because the DRS gave Button such a big speed boost. Alonso pulled off a similar pass early in the race on Kobayashi which FOM missed.

FOM did show the pass, and it was live. They didn't show replays, though. Koba led him through though, I suppose to save his tires.

To be fair, looking at the pics its pretty amazing Heidfeld completed the race. So so lucky there wasn't damage to the radiator etc.

Maybe he should have pulled off and retired... that way there would be no debate about him being slower than Petrov! Just an unfortunate retirement instead!

You know, it's hard to like Poland when guys like Schumack and Vassago live there.

Padlocks at the ready admins!

Aaanyway. I think I was expecting too much from the first race and the changes. I don't think the DRS suited the Melbourne track, maybe on the longer straights of the 'boring' GPs it will make them a bit more watchable. A good drive from Hamilton and Button IMO, although I don't know why Button didn't just let Massa through, it was obvious to me he was going get a penalty. But overall the race had a couple of good battles, Rubens was laughable, not much else really, an average Aussie GP.
