could they simply purchase another team or does Mercedes and Ferrari have power of veto on that matter?

Tickets for Portimão received (massive thing too). Fingers crossed my girlfriend's Covid test turns up negative tomorrow, which is about a 50/50 chance right now.

Isn't it always 50/50? You either have it or not.

Jokes aside, I hope it's negative and you two get to see the race. Please share stuff here and become a real hero of community during these challenging times.

50/50 in the sense that she had dinner next to someone that's infected but she doesn't have any symptoms. I'm not even sure I'm able to resell it if I can't go...

In May a freeze was in the plan but gradually and leading to a total freeze in 2023 or from the start of 2024.

I feel that whole engine freeze thing is just bluff poker from them. They either going to commit full time on the Honda engine being build in house which includes spending serious money on upgrading it or they go for whatever they can get (likely Renault)

No lockdown, just restrictions on social gatherings. Events such as the race or going to the theatre or similar can have socially distant and mask-wearing audiences unless they impose new restrictions in the meantime.

Edit: Keep in mind that the Algarve has just over 2000 cases since the start of the pandemic, most of the cases are gathered in the north and Lisbon areas.

He said "technically or financially", in other words they don't have the facilities for actual continuing development, or knowhow, and that's easy to believe because why would they have. They could subcontract some independent automotive engineering companies but same questions can be then asked about the capabilities.

Yepp good luck!
And... if she's positive, please don't go. Chances are high you'd have it too. Do you live together or did you see each other a lot?

We live together, so I'd be forced to a minimum 10-day quarentine and hope for a miracle that she tests positive and me negative.

However, she got the results today... And it's negative! Now I'm hyped!

Provisional calendar for next year moves Melbourne to October and adds the Saudi race at the end of November.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

A proposed race in Jeddah that will initially be a street circuit and will move to a permanent facility once it has been built.
