I remember seeing a car going off at the top of Eau Rouge but I don't think the cameras ever picked it up did they?

The cameras picked up Kubica going off there but not Hamilton.

An 8.
It was highly entertaining but the Safety Car ruined the wet parts to be honest. So it could have been even better.

can someone tell me how manny overtakings were done during the race?
if someone is registered at ClipTheApex please give me the information. thankyou

the overtaking summary hasn't been posted yet. i guess we might have got around 40 with a lot of cars out of position.

ok, when it will be posted please give information, thankyou

Ok, so the guy at ClipTheApex counted 64 overtakes, (Yamamoto was overtaken 11 times, for example) but there can be some small changes if anyone notices any more or if some passes are considered 'invalid'.

Probably would have given it 7 or 8 watching on tv but it has to be a 10 for finally getting the chance to see it live :)

Your point being?

One of the BBC commentators pointed that out before the start yesterday and as Regiotap explained on the previous page, they don't hand out penalties for stuff like that unless a clear advantage is gained, which in Massa's case, there wasn't.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Have Ferrari been penalised for releasing Alonso into another car in the pitlane? There was an uproar when someone else did it in earlier in the season...

It was being investigated wasn't it? They seem to have quietly swept it under the rug :o

Another great race by Vettel. Hopefully Hamilton will have some bad races so Webber can extend his lead even further.

I didn't really like/dislike Webber before this season but I hope he'll win it this year.

Alonso crashed so investigation was over due to excitement on the track.

but how can he not have advantage from starting there? If it's not penalised, why bother to start on the right position?

I've not been following this thread, but have people been chatting over the interesting things that Button's slipstream seemed to be doing to that Red Bull front wing? The video on Youtube has been yoinked by FOM, but if you can re-watch the onboard from Vettel leading up to the collision, take a look at his front wing.

Yeah, I posted that somewhere else yesterday afternoon, certainly interesting

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xem3t3 ... ttel_sport

One that they haven't taken down yet. It was certainly moving a lot and you wonder whether that contributed to the crash. Did it contribute to Webber's crash in Australia & Valencia? Maybe the drivers don't like it and it upsets the braking or something. :o

It was a fun race for sure! Rain came on the perfect moments, but like mentioned before: the SC took away most of the fun that the rain provides. This costs a point or two when you ask me. Furthermore, I personally was disappointed to see Barrichello crash out of the race in his 300th GP. Would have been nice if he had secured a good result!

Anyhow, now further complaints so I give this race a 8. I also agree that Spa always has high expectations, so a high score for this race is more valuable than a high score for most other tracks.

It's very odd, isn't it. Look at the way the thing twists when he loses the car - it looks like it's going to snap off from the force of that alone.
