If someone who'se never watched F1 started these days, first question would be: Are drivers in F1 allowed to pass other cars?

Moving in the braking zone and reacting to the car behind, causing them to break their wing or go off track is perfectly acceptable, however.

Of course, you must first ask a permission and do it nicely in a DRS zone and safely before the corner itself. Boring, just like FIA wants.

FIA are tired with all the extra investigation work overtaking battles bring them so want to send a message to discourage it so they can have an easy life

Obviously the real reason they're going higher downforce next year, all the cars will be at least 5 seconds apart and only do their passing in the pitlane.
