Nelson Piquet once said that the most frustrating part of the sport is not running an uncompetitive car, is running an uncompetitive car side by side with him |

perhaps the last time a F1 car was used at Indy. Williams sold the FW07 project to Bobby Hillin Jr. to build the Longhorn LR02 to race the Indy 500 in 1981 with Al Unser, lately was used by Bill Tempero to race at Can-Am |

Not a pic but a video. With all the talk about engines and rules...well, let's just say this engine is a beautiful beast. |

Quote: I swear that every other picture of Gilles involves some sort of sideways action. I have an idea why it is so. Those things go sideways a lot as Jacques Sr. here demonstrates from Valcourt Grand Prix 2010. http://www.admdq.org/photosaccidentjacquesvilleneuve.html |

that's why in northern countries (more specifically Scandinavia) parents give their kids karts to get away from the danger of racing snowmobiles and rally cars I guess the parents of Henri Toivonen did quite the opposite selling his kart to Mika Hakkinen and placing him in a rally car |

Up here in the north we test our kids' racing skills by organizing youth races with real snowmobiles, because snowmobile season lasts from November to April. From 15 years and up it's legal to race in official events, but the youngest start riding somewhere around 10 with real full sizes, it's physically rather demanding. Kids from ages 2 - 10 use the little sleds. |
