Ferrari looking quite handy and Mercedes as usual have reasonable pace in practice, but can't seem to transfer it into a proper qualifying spot

Rosberg had some issues with the bottom of his body...?

Rosberg was continuously setting stronger times on those tires :( God I hope not this will end up like a regular 2008 race.

Rosberg only half a second slower than last year's pole time. Last year fastest time in first practice was 1.18.1

Commentators mentioned Alesi and Nannini's incident in 1990. I'd love to see a photo of the remains of Nannini's car. It must have looked something like Martin Donnelly's Lotus!

And here's Nannini:

Whoever took a picture from Heikki on that moment, that's pic of the year-material :)

The BBC commentators are pretty smart guys but surely it should be painfully obvious that the DRS is the cause of the massive difference between times this year and last? Especially when you can use it down every single straight in free practice/quals!

Lap records surely going to be set, thats a huge difference between this and last year.

Also, whats DRS going to be like at Monza because they usually run low wings. Maybe more people taking approaches like Button last year?

So Schumacher, Button and Vettel have now hit the WoC. Hamilton and Alonso yet to find the barriers there. Alonso crashed in 2005, Hamilton has never crashed here IIRC.

There's also KERS giving a boost off the corners.
