They could award 1 point for the fastest lap. Or maybe 0,3 point for that matter.

Finally the Sprint delivered what it promised. It has to be said.

If red bull get the hang of their reliability issues all the fizz is going to go out of this championship pretty quickly...

Still, I enjoyed that race a lot, dare I say, more than a qualifying session....

DRS was almost a gameshark device, easy passes all the way round

no wonder they'll claim this one to be a big success again

By erasing the effects of a spicy qualifying which would've given us a mixed grid, and allowing the faster cars to get back to their normal positions? Cool.

DRS zone is far too long. They need to shorten it by at least 200-300m to shift the balance back to a competitive fight going into the braking zone. We saw Hamilton take advantage of the same thing last year and it's probably going to be the same tomorrow.

they should at least keep the qualifying position starts for the race but anyway Mercedes actually had a worse performance haha

If it wasn't a sprint race format, it wouldn't have been a spicy qualifying as it's been dry all day today :whistling:

Probably not as spicy no, but we would've instead had a proper nail biting outright fight for pole position :whistling:

At least things happened this sprintrace. Because of DRS, but still.

Leclerc ruined his tyres, one or two laps more and Perez would have had him.

tires were one of the keys, softs could drop a bit earlier than a 3rd of the race and mediums weren't able to capitalize on their life x performance

Discussed next week? What's the rush? Is he afraid the next sprint race at Red Bull Ring will be boring, so better force it through now or never?
