Unbelievable. Just two weeks ago everyone got penalties for anything. Or maybe losing both titles is a big punishment enough.

Nah, next race Hamilton will sneeze within a mile of a car on a qualifying/practice hot lap and they'll disqualify him

TBF I bet Ferrari are examining every single mm of that mercedes to see if there's anything they can protest.
They need to pull one of their FIA tricks out of their magic bag if they want this title

Yeah, that's probably the only way Mercedes is going to lose the titles anymore.

so now Niki Lauda sneaked into rain killer 3000 control room and dropped a hammer on it?

but anyway even after dried Hamilton was going even faster. dunno if that happened if it stayed dry from the start as tire wear gets critical there

Horner said Ricciardo was nursing a gearbox issue from halfway through, don't know how true that is though

They didn't mention it during the race, but in the C4 coverage at least Christian Horner confirmed Danny had a gearbox problem which they told him to manage quite early on so he couldn't unleash any pace

It was a race of what might have beens all around, really.

No idea why VET felt the need to be so aggressive on VER at the start. Even if VER had overtaken him on the inside it wouldn't have been the end of the world with HAM no better than P4 at that point. Although VER wasn't completely innocent either and made no effort to back out of a closing gap and stubbornly kept his right foot planted in typical Mad Max fashion.

VET's gotta look at the bigger championship picture and he certainly wasn't today. Personally I'm not of the belief that Ferrari need to pull some tricks out of their magic bag on Mercedes with the FIA. Like Seb says it's a good bet we're going to have some crazy races to close out this season which could easily swing the championship back in the favor of VET. Malaysia 2016 anyone?

I don't see how Max could be to blame for that, other then for his sheer presence. He did even decelerate, but it was too late by then.

I'm curious how the rest of the season will pan out, I don't trust Ferrari not to try something duplicitous (is that the right word) again. At least they all have the same tyre supplier this time round :D

Well, at first I blamed Max for crashing on Räikkönen, but after the first replay it was obvious that this was Spa 2016 all over again. Vettel squeezes over-aggressively and he and the team pays the price. Everytime Kimi has a promising start, Vettel is there to ruin it with his stupid first lap moves. Clearly he has missed few memos, mainly the one saying "you can't win the race in first corner, but you sure can lose it." and "if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing, but if you go for a gap that doesn't exists you're Maldonado."

Well he wasn't really going for a gap though. He was just closing the door on Mad Max, albeit very aggressively. The move would've only worked out safely if Max had backed off and Kimi didn't have such a good start. But those are pretty big if's which Vettel should've anticipated before making such a risky move, which you just don't do in such a tight championship battle especially on a driver that isn't your direct championship rival.

Impossible that no penalties were handed out. If Max did what Vettel did, he would have been banned for a race. It's just keeps getting sillier.

History dictates Ferrari do that in time for Monza. They've missed their window for 2017.

Ferrari should just give up on 2017. Clearly their car isn't good enough for the next races, Mercedes will own them. Focus on 2018 Maurizio.

Ahh Seb. Well done on throwing away your 2017 championship.

Ferrari are going to need some Malaysia 1999 bargeboard or Monza 2003 tyre shenanigans to claw this championship back.

As a Ferrari fan, I'm slowly starting to hate Verstappen, every time he gets near a red car, something happens. Of course, he's without fault in the majority of the incidents, and I'd love to see him in a red car, but fuck he's a liability around red cars.

Disclaimer: No, I dont hate Verstappen, but him and his Redbull sure is a costly combo for the red cars.

still rather see Ferrari losing again than winning on the Ferrari International Assistance mode on

that's too bad because this is getting worse than Red Bull domination
