I guess the real car will have a totally different livery, which is a shame.

Ah, just read that they will only make engines (or "powerunits"). So not a new team at all.

People here spend 10 years bitching about the lack of engine supplier variety and how much the feeder teams bend over for their manufacturer team masters. We get not one but two new manufacturers actually introducing 2 different engines, and the response is 'meh'.

Michael Schumacher could wake up and be announced as replacing Leclerc, and most people here would still find a way to be unimpressed. Doesn't it get old eating urine-soaked cornflakes every morning?

Real and true. Two absolute behemoths of the automotive industry joining and as you say, it seems like a 'meh' response 8O

My disappointment comes from seeing the news, being happy that we will get a possible extra team, realising that they will probably take over an already existing team so no extra cars, and then reading that they will only make engines. And then that BREAKING NEWS is suddenly not worth a lot anymore.

I'd say that pretty much all but confirms it right? It'll be interesting what Sauber run as for 2024 & 2025 before Audi's entry

Ah yes the "I know you are but what am I" defence, one of the 6 signs of pissy cornflakes syndrome.

They said from the get go they never intended to bring in a brand new team and were always looking to buy into an existing team

Ahhhhhhh TBK at it's finest. Literally a few posts past some new news and the personal attacks have begun. Reminds me why I try and avoid the F1 threads :yuk: :slaphead:

Joining F1 as a new manufacturer with a new engine and a new team is a fantastic way to blow billions of dollars on mediocre results and make a sad exit a few years later; just ask Toyota.

Nope, it´s people giving their opinion, and then other people start bitching to those people for having a different opinion, moaning that these people should not have that opinion, and then calling these people names.

Which I could call the grumpy old man syndrome.

It´s just people giving their personal opinion dude, they're allowed to.

Yes you are. And I'm allowed to criticise it. Freedom is great!

I agree name calling is pretty weak, but you're the one who felt the need to resort to that, not me :whistling:
