It's good for him to get a F1 drive, but it's pretty sad how he gets the chance while there is many others in gp2 who deserve it more, but Chandok gets it because it's what Bernie wants. It's not like this is the only time this has happened, it happens all the time. It gets pretty annoying as a fans point of view, can't imagine how those drivers who miss out feel about this kind of stuff.

But from the moment you step in a kart when you know that the ladder isn't completely a meritocracy and that someone with less talent and more money can go higher than you. That's life. Even though it's disappointing, that's life.

Stefan GP would like to inform the public that the containers we sent on the beginning of February arrived in Bahrain. In the corner of the page you will see official check from DHL and the confirmation that freight arrived. During next week we will show our Stefan Formula One car to the press as the final evidence that should put us on the grid in Bahrain.
If case we don't receive the chance to compete in Bahrain, and also when some of the teams fail to show up, somebody should be in a trouble explaining what is happening to all of us. And dreamers from USA will have to explain their actions, because they are deliberately weakening F1 with dreaming of perfect world and fairy tales about success. And success doesn't come by talking, but with hard work and a lot of guts.

I dunno about hard work, but it definitely takes guts to try to get into F1 by buying an existing team that's not on the entry list.

Hurley wasnt the culprit...Very likely Windsor or Anderson which was already reported as the one's that could block it anyhow.

I recon the FIA/Bernie will have a good talk with them the coming days

Well I guess Lopez has more financial backing than Senna, which for a team like Campos would count for a lot

Yeah, but for Senna to lose his seat would surely go against the contract (to the CRB?) and it would be the second time he came so close. I suppose for Campos they don't care because with Senna they'll be 8s off the pace and with Lopez 10s.

Unfortunately for a team in its situation, money is worth more than a slightly better skilled driver. Hopefully that will not last though.

And I find it surprising that no one is willing to put money behind Senna.

That's the real travesty.

You'd have thought there would be plenty of Brazilian companies at least falling over themselves trying to sponsor him.

Hell, you'd think there'd be companies all over the world doing so. He's talented, and he's a Senna.

They might be able to replace Senna the same way Ross Brawn did last January.

"Campos" is so short of funding it's ridiculous. They do need money sharpish.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

racexpress reports that Rossister signed a contract as 2nd driver with USF1, but he abandoned the ship because it's clearly going under

According to Speedtv.com, Lopez & Rossiter were bringing a total of $16m to the team:

http://formula-one.speedtv.com/article/ ... -as-lopez/
Quote:
Certainly the fact that USF1 failed to build a car on time – despite signing contracts with two drivers with F1 testing experience with a combined value of $16m – would suggest that something about the project was deeply flawed.
