Or, here's an idea; how about Senna to Toleman*?

They need to bring back a driver that won 2 races for them.

I know, he really should have won a lot more in his time there. I guess I need to get over it and realize he's done. Watching LMS just won't be as fun.

Don't think Ferrari would like that idea too much anyway.

I don't know about the technicalities, but it's still got 'Renault' all over it, and therefore the team's success\failure will impact on the Renault brand.

Right but still the management and almost everything changed in the team ... IIRC Renault owns now 15% of the team.

Stefan GP has come to an agreement with Campos/Dallara it seems

Sites are reporting that Campos will make an announcement tomorow because their problems are "solved".
And RaceXpress.nl is now reporting that StefanGP has just dropped it's charge against the FIA (they where trying to start in Bahrein by a lawsuit)

According to motorsport-total.com Campos will cooperate with USF1, which would mean that there is another free place on the starting grid for StefanGP.

the problem we'll have with SGP if they sign Villeneuve and Nakajima is that we won't know how fast their car is

I doubt those drivers could drive the car on its limits

No, they won't. But you got the same problem at Lotus. Nakajima is part of the Toyota-deal. Villeneuve is a risk. But it's better than a pay-driver.

nah, especially in qualifying Trulli will put that car to the limits
and Kovalainen is average but nowhere as slow as Nakajima

'I think the one thing he gives any team is that at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, that's how quick (the car) is. If you're two seconds off pole, you need to give him a car that's two seconds quicker. For a new team to have that baseline is fantastic.'

-Mike Gasgoyne on Jarno Trulli, Autosport, February 18 2010

Oh yes, Trulli is fast sometimes. But not a whole season. That's his problem.

I agree.

But looking at the drivers who were available for a team at Lotus' level, I think they got 2 of the best 4 or 5. And the others are currently employed elswewhere on the grid. Besides, Trulli was always going to be advantaged by the fact that Gasgoyne is pulling the strings.

Totally agree with you Shaddix ! Jarno is really fast but he is not consistent during the race.
