Forecast is for heavier rain in the morning anyway. It's already chucking it down apparently. |

Yeah, but I think it's difficult to predict completely. Worst will be early Monday morning. Biggest threat is to the pack-up; flights to Russia are Monday afternoon so that may be delayed. Either way, if it chucks it down it'll probably be a really disrupted race as Suzuka is difficult enough in the dry. |

Yes, I've heard exactly the same, the biggest problem will be the flights to Russia. |

They should run 20 laps behind SC, throw green for two laps for all the lulz and go back to SC to see whoever managed not to crash out be awarded with points. |

So you're suggesting F1 implements a temporary use of Nascar's green-white-chequer rules whereby everyone races to the next flag? Could be interesting. |

They can just do a 2 day weekend at Russia, make Fp3 a little longer on Saturday and we'll have a fun qualy and race with drivers not very familliar with the new track and maybe not a perfect setup. |

it was probably a bad idea to schedule race weekends in Japan and Russia four days apart especially when there's a 3 week break after Russia |

Was just having a glance around with all that's predicted for todays race and sunset there is set for 5.20pm. With a high chance of red flags or even a delayed start with technically an allotted time of 4 hours I can't see the full distance being done today. |
