Good first half of the race, but after that it got really boring. Especially since Hamilton could not get past the Ferraris.

I voted for Vettel. Clearly the fastest driver in the field, yet another technical failure. poor guy.

Haha that vid of the Kobayashi crash is great

Yeah the Alonso-medical car incident was shown by the BBC afterwards from onboard.

Gave it a 9. The start was absolutely exciting. We had spins, crashes, many overtakings, mechanical failures, drama...to the end of the race it got a bit boring though.
edit: ohhh...btw..stupid mclaren pit crew cheering at Vettel's failure. :yuk:

TBH, I can't help but feel that this race is getting a little overrated by quite a few here. It was a very good race no doubt, the first 30 laps were fantastic but once it dried up completely, it just got frustrating to watch as thing got mostly possessional gain and TBH, I really don't think it was the all-time classic that some people are acting like it was.
Take nothing away though, I still thought was an overall excellent race and weather permitting over the rest of the season, today's race is likely to be the best race of the season.

well, things were not that exciting anymore, but there was still a lot of interesting stuff that could develop, Hamilton and Webber pitting and catching the Ferraris, and it wasn't clear until like 10 laps from the end that the others wouldn't do the same. So first half was brilliant racingwise, second half was still interesting to follow because fo the uncertainty.

Seriously, dude, I have no fucking clue on what the fuck you just said.

well if u know what happened in melb 08 between kimi, heikki and alonso then u will know what im talking about, but if your memory is short the ur problem

That's not my problem, my problem is your complete butchery of the English language.

Same here actually! Poor Vettel though. He must be absolutely fuming. The fastest drive + car combination, but not leading the championship, just like Raikkonen in 2005.

Thankfully for Vettel there's no real clearcut contender emerged thus far, giving Vettel a fair chance to catch up still.

The problem for Vettel is that he is already, after 2 races, one race win behind FA in terms of points with a car that isn't quick down the straights... they know from 2009 that they can't make many mistakes and already they've potentially lost 38 points...

The race itself was a 10. A great race again on Albert Park, loved all the action Bahrain missed.

But I gave it a 9 due to the results, wasn't too happy about that.

Yep it really reminds me 2005 ... I hope he will be the world champion he just drives perfectly during every qualifying sessions so far (with this new rule, is it the "new Senna" ? ) and he just leads every race until a problem come ... I don't want to see Alonso champion thanks to luck as in 2005 !

btw this race was awesome no complain about overtakings, drama and so on ;)

I agree with Pierrot btw : we need 19 races at Albert Park ! :D :p

I'd agree with that. I was thinking 9 - 9.5 for the first half but I have to admit I was very disappointed when Lewis and Webber caught Alonso and couldn't get past. They should have been able to fight for 2nd but the overtaking problem is still there. I think 8 is a fair result and I can see why people might give 9 or 10 after a horrible race in Bahrain!

Vettel, Kubica or Button ?

well I chose Button because he managed to take a risk and to protect his tyres during 50 laps ! However Sebastian Vettel did (as usual) an awesome job.
Robert Kubica was very strong and it's good to see a Renault on the podium. It shows that Briatore or Alonso were not soooo important ! Great job Robert

He never got passed with cars on his ass the whole race.

He did a good race that's right but I would say : he did a "Bourdais 2008" actually ... Sebass said back then that it was very difficult to overtake at the Albert Park when the driver in front of you doesn't make a big mistake.

Think Alonso also deserves a mention. Was spun to the back a the first corner but came all the way through to fourth and would have had a chance at second if Ferrari decided to play team orders.
