another thing i'll never understand: we all ( but one ) agree it was Vettel's fault. Then why the incident has not been investigated? Why no action has been taken against vettel? We've seen so many dumb penalties all over the years for all kind of slight contact ( most of wich i'll simply consider racing accident not to be penalized ). Then why we have a crash involving three cars, putting two of them out of the race and not even a reprimend has been given?

let me explain: i dont want vettel to be penalized and i think he did amazing in brazil to keep it togheter in that mess. But i simply cant stand the lack of consistency in Fia's decision and penalty sistem.

Oh dear... you're J.Morelli 2.0 :8:

Well in that case, we might as well start every race behind the safety car then to avoid such incidents from happening lol.

It's a valid point to an extent don't you think? I don't think a penalty should have been applied to Vettel, but we've seen much less investigated haven't we?

It's the first lap in very changeable conditions. Was it worthy of investigation considering the circumstances? No.

Just managed to finish checking this thread. What an amazing race. That's all.

I d say it was a typical racing incident, neither Vettel nor Senna is to blame. 50/50

This would be the standings if we had the 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1-system

1 Sebastian Vettel 115
2 Fernando Alonso 114
3 Kimi Raikkonen 82
4 Jenson Button 76
5 Lewis Hamilton 74
6 Mark Webber 71
7 Felipe Massa 47
8 Romain Grosjean 37
9 Nico Rosberg 36
10 Sergio Perez 26
11 Kamui Kobayashi 21
12 Nico Hulkenberg 21
13 Michael Schumacher 17
14 Pastor Maldonado 16
15 Paul di Resta 15
16 Bruno Senna 8
17 Jean-Eric Vergne 4

And with the 10-6-4-3-2-1
1 Sebastian Vettel 91
2 Fernando Alonso 86
3 Lewis Hamilton 59
4 Jenson Button 59
5 Kimi Raikkonen 51
6 Mark Webber 49
7 Felipe Massa 26
8 Nico Rosberg 22
9 Romain Grosjean 19
10 Sergio Perez 17
11 Pastor Maldonado 12
12 Kamui Kobayashi 11
13 Nico Hulkenberg 8
14 Michael Schumacher 5
15 Paul di Resta 4
16 Bruno Senna 1

i fail to see why people do these.

it's irrelevant.

it's like people who try and do the points out with nascar if there was no chase. it makes no sense because people would race differently under different point systems.

i don't think he should be penalized too. I think penalties should been given only in three cases: deliberate behaviours, dangerous behaviours and utterly stupid behaviours. Everything else is racing. What i was trying to say is that this season we've seen penalties given every single time a piece of a wing has been broken as a result of a contact. So many stupid penalties. That's why i felt it was strange that it was considered "normal" to take off the race two cars in a single shot. To me that is racing. But to fia standard, according to what FIA has shown during the season, it shouldn't be.

FIA works with double standards, considering that they did gave Hulk a penalty.

Pretty shit/classless comment from Vettel about the Senna incident.

http://www.autojunk.nl/2012/11/sebastia ... over-senna
(around 1:20)

When asked what he thought of the moment with Bruno Senna in the first round did he responds: "The tomb of Ayrton Senna is in Sao Paolo, perhaps they should go over there and tell what his nephew did".

Not quite what he said. The interviewer brought up the fact that Bruno hit him in Sao Paulo, Vettel said that he was planning to visit Ayrton's grave anyway and made a throwaway comment about him telling Ayrton what had happened.

The interview was held shortly after the race and Sebastien probably hadn't had time to see any replays. From his perspective, Bruno was at fault. Hopefully he changed his mind after seeing a couple of replays.

Doesn't matter if it's just after the race or something, a comment like that is always tasteless.

Here we go again, last couple of minutes show Vettel absolutely making a pass under yellow, question is whether the Toro Rosso got out of the throttle or not?

I think Toro Rosso lifted as the gap between the two of them increased significantly. I also think that the protest time has also passed, so there's no way of Vettel getting a time penalty for that.

Has this been explained by officials or Red Bull Racing?

The question is, why is this relevant now? It was relevant during the race. Why can't people accept the outcome. Afterall Ferrari have.

It would have been more dangerous if Vettel braked instead of passing the slow Toro Rosso. Although it was yellow, and you have to slow down. But nobody does.

Fair enough, I read a different translation elsewhere.

Not the worst attempt at a joke a driver's ever made after the race. Stupid, maybe.

Exactly. They probably followed closely Vettel's every move during the race for obvious reasons. Why didn't they protest? Maybe because it must have been legal move, not because they didn't see it.

Screencaps from the live feed show that the marshal on the post on the inside of turn 3 put away the yellow flag and put out a green one whilst all the lights around him were still yellow, which is weird.

What are the drivers supposed to pay attention to first? The marshals or the lights?

I would reprimand the STR driver for pulling the parachute like that on a straight.
