Surely the next step is to merge cBeebies and CBBC.

BBC4 will be untouched, come what may.

Chris Moyles should be dumped, and if Radio 1 went today, I wouldn't miss it!

The people who talked about merging Three and Four clearly haven't foreseen how daft it would be to have Family Guy and Snog, Marry, Avoid interspersed on the schedule with documentaries on Mozart.

Why not? We currently have F1, Coronation Street and Antiques Road Show on BBC One, and those don't exactly fit together do they? Whilst it sounds ridiculous the way you word it, that isn't how it'd work anyway. Programs are scheduled together for a reason. It's why you got a bunch of comedy on BBC2 together on Thursday nights - that was the night they were popular. You wouldn't have Family Guy splitting the classical music documentaries because they wouldn't be on the same night.

I stand corrected then. Given some of the crap that's on BBC Three, maybe a merger wouldn't be such a bad idea. Turning it into a channel a bit like Sky One, and removing the whole 'aiming at an age group' idea of both the channels seems like a safe way to cut costs.

Well, at least you won't get James Allen commentating:

Yeah, but Mark Blundell is interested in a job there. Judging by Skys pundits, he'll get the job.

£115m a year for re-runs of shows already on iPlayer. Thanks BBC.

I just don't understand how anyone at the BBC can justify this.

It costs not much, per programme. £40m a season, 38 broadcasts live = just over £1m/session. That is good value for the viewers they get.

And the fact that BBC3 is just fucking re-runs of shit TV. And the move to Salford is costing £900m, only done to appease the Northerners.

this is a sad day for BBC viewers.

I mean, if it's such a problem, just cut back on all the pre-race and quali stuff, broadcast it from a studio... but keep it on the BBC for christ sake.

I just can't afford it. Where I live, I doubt I'd get the signal anyway. I mean, its going to be nearing £400 a year for it. Just can't do it. I guess BBC for half, Internet for the rest.

And Bernie thinks more people will watch on Sky

The teams have changed their stances on this though, I really hope something is done, it just cant go to Sky :(

I really don't think they've thought about the knock-on effects of this. Lose the fanbase and you'll lose the industry over time.

Oh, and its kinda funny that a single footballer is worth more than the BBC's entire F1 coverage

I was thinking about that! When they see they will only have 20% or something left of the viewers next year, they surely would do something to bring it back to free-TV!

Right, there's thousands of pissed of fans. Surely something can be done. I might be writing an article on this later, trying to be diplomatic and send it to some teams.

I do now hope that Brundle spends the entirety of the Abu Dhabi race just burying the BBC.

Wow, Adam Parr sounds like a right c**t.
"It is not a bloke or two blokes with a tennis racket and a pair of plimsolls with zero cost". Wow, sheer ignorance.
