Same shit going on since years....

look how Schumi hits Montoya...guess who is penalized?? Montoya of course with a drive through!!!Did Hamilton made a worst move than Schumi? Of course not, and it wasn't schumi penalized, but JP...like if Raikkonen was penalized in fuji for not letting Hamilton through...LOL..RIDICOLOUS!!

Dunno if this has been posted before but here's good amature footage of Lewis's second slip up in the first lap.

so after messing up the start, that's another mistake by Lewis then...

good find!

Webber has been a ridulously aggressive blocker for many years now, Fernando Alonso being a victim on more than one occasion. Even by modern F1 standards his blocking seems a bit silly and sometimes quite dangerous.

It's called racing. It's hard, it's also fair, and we don't see enough of it to be honest.

But he's mostly the first one to bitch when someone else does it.

Examples? I don't recall Webber "bitching" when Hamilton bumped him at Monza. If what you say is correct, Webber should have been going ape shit then.

That mistake (although possibly caused by turning in on the badly flat-spotted tyres?) probably cost Lewis the race ... it's what put him in behind Massa in the first place. Without it he would have only had Kubica and Alonso ahead of him and even though Alonso's pace in the second stint was stunning, you have to think Lewis would have been stronger throughout the race ...

i think its what saved his ass actually.

without it Mr. Massa wouldn't have run into him and he would've gotten the penalty for T1 incident. hence him out of points or very little and Massa possibly winning the race or getting on podium

It was either punish both of them, or neither of them.

if that's the case then there really is no hope with the stewards.

punish those who break the rules and deserve it not those who will spice up the championship.

No I think Matthew is correct.

Lewis was going to get a penalty for Turn 1 anyway. There is no reason to suggest otherwise. His mistake at T2 (or is that T3, with the kink being T2?) put himself in the position to take advantage of Massas n00bery and Massa got himself penalised.

Had he not went off, Massa would have raced around at the front, whilst Lewis would have been penalised, and had to change his tyres anyway. Massa spinning Lewis actually had very little effect on Hamiltons race because of his own mistakes.

Yeaa, that's what I've been thinking. Without the drive through, Massa would have been on the podium for sure. Hamilton on the other hand would have still struggled to get into the points.

I don't believe we've seen the last major mistake from Hamilton this season.

I think that kink is T2, because the hairpin where Ralf and Sakon colided last year is actually T10, which I would call T5.

It's amazing how Kovalainen has done almost a mirror image of Hamilton up to turn 3. He goes into turn 1 too deep (like Hamilton), then he goes too fast into turn 3 and has to correct the oversteer (like Hamilton).

Sutil - he was up to tenth before his tire or whatever it was gave up.
