Glad to see F1 pairing with Nielsen on this survey. I can't take this feeling they'll show a cherry-picked result that will validate all the measures they have been taking recently, but it seems a pretty solid job indeed.

I had a wtf moment at the It has spectacular crashes question. If the majority vote below expectations, will they built launching ramps on the straights?

So that's a total of 6 seats confirmed in 2 or 3 days!

mmmmm I wonder why Lafiti still has his seat? From my understanding Williams aren't in financial difficulties anymore

so does that mean we can see Alpha Tauri logos in another team, just like we had Mild Seven on Tyrrell because of Katayama there?

Maybe they can use it to see if they can still put forward crashes in the pre-race show (action zones), or on F1 social media.

They did that, it's called the 2021 rule changes to the underbody, hampering the low rake cars

He looks like the only driver on the current F2 grid who might get a seat and it will largely be bankrolled by the Chinese government.

I didn't realise the rule that if you won the championship, you can't stay in the series.

When was the last time not a single F2/GP2/F3000 driver made the step up to F1 the following year? Only thing that comes to mind is 2009 when only one made the step up (Buemi)

1998 F3000 was the last season nobody made the full-time switch to Formula 1 the following year (Stephane Sarrazin was a Prost test driver who made one-off entry at Brazilian GP due to Luca Badoer's wrist injury). Of course the main reason was Montoya & Rodriguez signed with IndyCar teams for 1999.

The 1999 F1 rookie class was: Pedro de la Rosa (1997 Formula Nippon, 1998 Jordan test driver), Marc Gene (1998 World Series by Nissan) and Ricardo Zonta (1998 FIA GT however 1997 F3000 champion).

Despite absolute dislike by the majority they plan on pushing the sprint race into a stand alone thing. :slaphead:

There's a new global F1 Fan Survey. I think the questions are essentially the same as previously, apart from the Sprint race questions. I strongly disagreed on them, though I expect them to ignore the results (or not publish them at all).

They did one of those back in 2005 or so, I remember doing it. If only I could find my responses :whistling: :whistling:

Do you guys have poll results to back this up? There is an increasing number of comments on here (TBK) that don't consider the possibility that their opinion may not be shared by a majority of F1's global fanbase. Sometimes even conveniently dismissing any F1 official announcement as false propaganda when it doesn't fit their opinion. It's a worrying way of thinking.

I mainly read negative comments on twitter.
There is a poll on autosport forum where 71% is against it. I saw a poll on a Dutch forum with the vast majority against it. Yet the FIA claim minor protest.

Apparently the TV stations are being pressured to be overly positive and continue to sell it.

Only way we can get our voices heard is by not tuning in but many will still tune in and bitch every lap how it sucks. Now if only we could all stick to it and actually boycot it. If the numbers drop 70% the whole sprint race idea will be dropped faster than an 18 year old at Epsteins island.

sprint races will be successful only if the drivers start derping like the 2015 Euro F3 Monza round

then it'll be a blunder like the knockout qualifying or the aggregate time qualifying
