Maybe they could just cancel Russia and run Suzuka instead.

Or make a calendar with just Suzuka, Monaco, Spa, Interlagos, Montreal and Melbourne, 18 races, 3 times at each one :p

FIA have confirmed 3pm race start time.

Its also now looking like the typhoon isn't expected to hit Japan until Monday although its still expected to rain heavily tomorrow.

Is the 3pm race start time the same as originally scheduled, or is that moved forward?

if they run the race behind SC so as to award half points, Rosberg will lead Hamilton by 0,5 points (provided both keep it on the island).

Would be funny if, for some unlikely reason, the same thing happened in Abu Dhabi and they can only award half points.

Half points in Abu Dhabi would merely be regular points at any other race.

Well with Maldonado in the race, anything is possible. In fact, Maldonado doesn't need wind to make other cars airborne.

Darrell Waltrip is probably flying over to educate them about the vortex effect tbh

The unique 'figure 8' shape of the track will negate the vortex. :(

Maybe it'll create two mini vortex's? The whole track will be dry apart from a typhoon directly over the bridge

scientific accuracy itt

if they can't start the grand prix, drivers should stand on their grid place and (literally) run one lap of the track.

Dry spells are possible tomorrow so my guess is that it's going to be dry between 2 and 5 pm.

Boring race

You know how drivers (mainly Button) always say "we may as well be in canoes blah blah blah", well the FIA should hold them to that sometime
