Same for me since 1997.

Bernie likes Money.

The teams are selfish

Jean Todt favours Ferrari

Adrian Newey likes aerodynamics

Sutil is gay

jajajajajaja

(What are we doing, again? )

For what it's worth (my posts were all tongue-in-cheek, as I suppose was pretty clear :p): I am actually looking forward to the season very much. These rule changes have resulted in the teams needing to up their workrate to the max to make sure that they A) stay ahead or B) seize on the opportunity to get ahead. Should be very interesting.

that's the problem with the whole thing. Racing is entirely different than the usage of cars simply as means of transportation.

Hell, to me, anything in life that have this "set an example" idea is stupid. But let's not digress... :p

StanV, I'm not expecting much from the racing PoV, but I think there will be lot's of things to entertain. For instance, I believe some previous midfield teams(Williams, FI, Sauber) will ocasionally mix up and fight for big points, at least early in the season. Plus, the reliability is gonna provoke a laughing parade among fans. I can even imagine the shitstorms every time Vettel retires

This question may have already been asked, but what's with the huge variation across cars on how far the nose tip passes the leading edge of the wing? Seems like the kind of thing that would have been mandated by the rulebook.

Has it been left open in previous years?

+1 on your question.

Also, I don't believe how sharp those wings are. They're getting sharper every year, it's like they're designed to puncture tyres. If the FIA cared so much about safety, they would make a mandatory minimum radius for square edges.

Pretty sure the minimum radius rule was introduced in 1996. It applied to nose tips and wing end plates. More to combat the 1995 McLaren MP4/10, which was basically just a big spike on the front. But since then I don't believe the rules have changed.

I'm looking forward to this season. I hope there will be lots of drama concerning retirements, that would make even boring races interesting.

Just saw the 2013 review dvd, and its good. But still misses some nice overtakings like Buttons in Brazil on 3 cars, or the fight in Korea where Pastor looses 4 places in one corner and some others.. but the crucial ones are there..
There are no battles from Malaysia when one half of track was dry and other wet, its like it was a dry race from start..
Nothing of Vettels overtakes in China, India were left out..
The German GP had manny overtakes specially from Hulks view, but there was no space on the disc for that..
But for the celebrty shit yes. They even showed the baywatch star 2x... instead they could have showed something else..
But all in all its good. It shows all the practice, qlf crashes during season..
But i got used that they show the full starting grid before the race, but not this time..

Same for me since 1997.

1995 for me. Missed 3 races in all those years. No matter how boring the races are, I just can't stand knowing there is or has been an F1 race and I have not seen it.

I don't understand the necessary correlation between "I don't like it" and "then don't watch it".

Also the picture quality of the DVD version is appalling :yuk:

18th straight season for me starting in Australia. I can't see myself as a real fan, as I support against defending champions

Calling yourself a "real fan" because you've watched every race since year X is meaningless really. According to some's logic, because I've missed a few races because of travel, or other activities, I'm not a "real fan"? Utter rubbish. Lots of things account for whether a fan is a real one or not.

I've followed F1 since the mid-eighties but I don't remember watching races until 1989 or 1990.

19th for me. Last year maked the first time I missed races live or recorded, and I didn't cared a bit. The other one I failed to see (and actually haven't yet) it's the 2001 Monaco GP. It was shown here delayed to compete with the Indy 500 and I obviously saw the better race that day.

Only thing I know about that race is that Schumi won and a Jordan had a cool engine failure (I think).

I guess real fans are those who just take F1 as #1 priority

i.e. I missed about 2 exams already because of F1 races and not miss my clean sheet, and I thought it was better to do that, F1 is important. I don't turn the TV off if the race is boring, I struggle against sleep in late night races and complain a lot against the broadcasters that take the race off air to show a friendly football match and can't simply open the feed on their sports channel

Damn, twentieth season for me. I try to watch all races live but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way for one reason or another. Power cuts, holidays, ITV being wankers and not delaying Coronation Street.

This year will be my 28th season...

I usually see all the races, and I do try to plan my 'happy family' weekends in such a way that we do the 'happy family' stuff as much as possible in the non F1 weekends... :) But that is not always possible off course.

The Spa Grand Prix for example is in the middle of our summer holiday...
