It is, but the FIA completely ignoring the real reasons why the cars couldn't overtake each other, it's frustating.

The way Malaysia is set with the first 2 turns, made it possible for the one getting overtaken to fight back a bit, but that won't be the case in every track.

Yes but still it's better then nothing, it's better then a dull procession.

This is the FIA, they rarely do anything right.

I prefer real racing than this. You saw at the race no driver took a risk in the last corner of the circuit, because they all waited for the start/finish line to change their rear wing. Then it's easily passing, and I don't think that's racing.

I saw a few risky passes on the last corner but i am not a fan of the DRS rules.
Exciting race overall and was interesting to hear Martin question wether having alot of pitstops was a good idea. The penalties Alonso and Hamilton got or rediculous in my opinion.

Hard to choose ;)
Heidfeld, Webber, Schumi, Kobayashi, Button...

My vote goes to Heidfeld :)

Penalty is ridiculous. It was RA, nothing more.

Schumacher got a brilliant start. The next 55 and a half laps sucked though

Rosberg had an awful day. Schumacher slightly better but not great. Pre-season predictions about Mercedes spot on.

You really hate Schumi, don't you? :p

He was a lot better than Rosberg and if his 55 last laps weren't brilliant, that's due to Mercedes being a utter dog.

The Mercedes is a worse race car, and it looks like the car is destoying the tyres very fast, just like last year. I don't think Schumacher is the best rider at the moment, and I'm not impressed with Rosberg. I don't know what a driver like Vettel will do with a Mercedes.

Belgians... :)

Sporza/VRT is just trying to make it look as if it was a good decision to stop airing F1

Hamilton was penalized for his driving genius. That was a wonderful demonstration of how you defend safely and break the tow while having a car with DRS (+KERS?) on your back.
So the officials want more action and racing, but they would rather see a driver keep his line whilst being passed like a fucking lorry on the highway? Not contradictory at all!!

And guess what, geniuses, if a collision was "avoidable" then they would have freaking avoided it in the first place. God, what a bunch of dickheads.

It seems there can never be a "perfect" race. Either the overtaking is too artificial (oh, it's not btw) or when it happens it invokes penalties (oh, it shouldn't BTW, for either of them...)

The race wasn't perfect, far too many pitstops ruining the flow (I preferred last years 1 stop, you're stuck with the tyres you got format tbh!), and the TV Director cutting away from a battle to show people in pit lane was disgraceful, but it was fun and enjoyable and at the end of the day that's why we tune in.

To decry overtaking when its here is stupid imo.
You can hang it on the MRW, (moveable Rear Wing is such the better name!) KERS, Tyre inequalities, damaged cars, whatever, its all about the variables. Whatever is it that makes one car faster than another is a variable and that's what generates great racing.

So don't bitch about it, I'd rather watch this 1000x over than 1 standard Hungary or Valencia bore...

Bitch bitch bitch. That is all people do, bitch when there is no overtaking (soo boring) bitch when there is (oh but its not real racing). Like DC said, these are the tools at their disposal and they are there to be used. THe DRS helps with a pass but you still have to make the bloody pass. I thought the race was fantastic and would rather watch this than a race where their is 1 pass for the entire race (and I was one of the biggest skeptics of it)

Ferrari + Alonso raised the Hamilton blocking issue and subsequent penalty post race which is why we didn't hear about it before the flag.
