Everyone being mixed up after a SC is as much of a disadvantage for the guys at the back as it is at the front. They can't attack the drivers they're battling with either. So them being moved to the back would mean they are able to fight and it would also mean them not having to yield to the front-running guys. I don't see how it's a disadvantage. They're still going to be a lap down whether they're second in the queue behind the leader or at the back

it's completely asinine to have the lapped cars in between the lead lap cars. send them around and give them their lap back or put all the lead lap cars at the front of the cue. it's a ridiculous rule and all of the speed announcers seem to agree with me (or perhaps, i agree with them). and they are The Smartest People On Earth.

Are Coldtyre and I the only ones who doesnt see a problem with the current safety car rules? Just because the safety car has come out doesnt mean you should get an automatic right to unlap yourself. The rules should be the same for everybody, you are where you are when it comes out.

The safety car is not here to make the race more exciting and people need to stop viewing it as such. It should only be used for safety reasons, otherwise we would get invisibris cautions like in NASCAR.

The best would be to keep the gaps as they are before the yellow, but there is no practical way to do it, so the closest we can practically get to fairness is to keep the cars positions on track.

To me if the top cars want the "advantage" of lapped cars out the way then you have to let lapped cars get the lap back. To me it seems unfair to give one group all the advantages and another all the disadvantages, so I'd be against shuffling them to the back.

These two groups are not really fighting together. The fairness to be looked upon here is within drivers in the same lap.

Destroying the gap a driver built is already a big blow, if on top of that you let the guy behind be on their neck, having taken no risk at all in backmarker overtaking, it's just plain unfair to me.

Could not agree more with this.

Why should the lapped cars move? Vettel had already lapped them, and Webber had not. So shouldn't they still be there when the race restarts? Webber still got a net gain by having the gap eliminated.

He said in an interview that he accidentially hit the neutral button on the steering wheel, and because you can't engage first gear while you're rolling he had to stop and do that. My first thought too was that he spun, when I saw him flashing past Hamilton in T3. :)

and what is the standing of the grand prix??

Most topics have been merged with actual GP topics I think. (along with DOTR of each race)

6/10, the madness after the SC made up what was an OK race up to then.

A 6 from me. It wasn't too bad but a bit dull in the middle.
